    Agent Nano Suggestion

Now, I don't know why this hasn't been suggested or thought of before, and if it has forgive me. But there really should be a mimic faction nano. An agent is an undercover specialist, you would think they would be able to either conceal or disguise themselves to blend in with a different faction's population. This makes much more sense than the profession immitation nanos and those are in the game. I do realize this brings up certain exploitable circumstances that could be rather nasty, so I have given some further thought to this issue.

The nano would temporarily change the person's faction to either omni, clan, or neutral. It would not gain a person entrance to faction specific shopping, shopping channels, missions, or insurance terminals. It would enforce a localized neutral PVP effect upon the caster for the duration the nano is running (for those that don't understand what this means, it means no initiating attack and no defending other players, you may however defend yourself should you come under attack). It would take up a very large portion of NCU real estate appropriate for the level the nano exists at, and in relation to that point any faction specific gear that was donned (for diguise purposes) during the time the agent was diguised as a member of the other factions would have a check run vs the player's original faction and become unequipped and returned to inventory, if he would not otherwise be able to wear the armor, when the nano is terminated (this would apply to recasting the nano as well), this would allow a character to disguise themselves but given the large NCU cost it would hinder standard buffs so you don't become some ultra twinked mission breeze through player.. The nano is not something to gain a combat advantage but rather to promote the roleplay aspect of information gathering.

This idea has been mentioned a number of times. It's something agents often think of and would like.

However, I question whether this would be a good idea.

There would be a lot of potential for abuse. A clan agent could pretend to be Omni, pretend to be an NT, and announce that he was doing implants for donations. Then he could pick up people's clusters and their donation, then run off with them.

Right now, at least people can >somewhat< trust those on their own side.

hrmmm... good point, I wasn't focusing on how an unsavory individual could rob other players blind
