    Breed differences revealed

    The breed myths revealed.
    ------------------------

Since there has been a question of 'what breed should I pick for an agent' on these forums a lot more then is almost bareable in the past year or so, I figured I would submit this handy piece of data. From here you can make your own choices about what breed you would like to play based on which stats you would like to have at 220. This document is ONLY for the purpose of pure breed stats and it no way factors in any armor, devices, perks or weapons. I only did those skills that are agent oriented. I have no desire to find out which agent breed can attain the highest FQP or Swimming.

I have compiled a list of what each breed is like for an agent at level 220 with ALL BASE ABILITIES MAXED FOR EACH BREED. The characters shown here are COMPLETELY NAKED and WITHOUT PERKS, TOWERS or ORG CONTRACTS. All breeds are compared to Opifex for consistency. the numbers after the ':' represent the maxed out value for each skill with all base abilities maxed for each breed. The following number depicting a positive or negative number represents the amount of skill difference from the Opifex breed.

Spent a few hours putting this together so maybe we can make this a rooted/sticky thread *grin*.

A little skewed, because you're assuming all people will max all abilities, and you're discounting the amount of IP that people will use to do that.

You're also discounting the problem of equipping anything in the future that needs agility, or sense - Which is probably the main factor people say "GO OPI"

Ultimately though, the big problems behind being a nano agent arent typically being -32 on rifle.

Think about it, if there was an item which added:

    Rifle: 55
    Aimed Shot: 33 AS
    RangedInit : 15
    NanoCinit : 48
    Dodge-Rng : 37
    Evade-Clsc : 37
    Duck-Exp : 37
    NanoReist : 40
    RunSpeed : 26
    +1080 HP

Also add in the extra bonuses through better t3, and less stress getting it (And future agi/sense) items equipped, and tell me you wouldnt camp such an item. Try and tell me it wouldnt be the 'ultimate agent item'
    Don't be lonely anymore.

Look at your post, now back at mine. Now back to your post, now back at mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate comments it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're scrolling through posts, reading the posts your posts could look like. Back at mine, it's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again, my reply is now diamonds. Anything is possible when you think before you post.

Lol, who said I was advocating anything? Just posting what the skills would be like for maxed abilities and the coresponding skills.

It is infomative, I never suggested any breed.

furthermore, I'm not gonna get into the AR cap/skill discussion here and whether or not 2000 AR is very different from 2055 AR. This thread is for those who asked what breed they should pick. So there it is.

    Again, it is just infomative.

would be nice to see Ips cost for each breed aswell(but would be hard to define as Ips depend alot on player choices)
Soldier Atrox have 600K ips more than solitus ones for exemple.
Btw if 55 AR doesn t matter alot , 33 to AS is one sec or 2 less to your AS refresh

Yep, it is. however AS is hardcapped at 10 sec's real life time.

I can add the IP cost and total ip expenditure for each breed tommorow when I'm on break from work. Thanks for the suggestion DrEvil, I'll see if I can add that in somehow.

I'll have to check on that soldier trox/ip thing, sounds interesting. I was never aware of that. From what I can tell tho, there is no total IP difference for all the breeds. However, each breed uses a different amount. I'll post back tommorow.

AS is capped at 10 sec but some weapon require alot more AS skill to reach that skill.
Is an atrox able to cap AS at 10 sec with joy at 220 , same for nano.
Did a 220 test X3 with full skill lock setup to see how fast the AS come back ?
when u have such a low cap a few sec make a very big diff.
AS every 12 sec vs AS every 10 sec can be an important issue

I quoted mantravad1 for the sold issue so i dunno if it s that huge : but as an agent you have to max agi sense if you wanna up your prof skills and equip high armor so opi gain prolly alot of ips from that.while atrox have to dump more ip in nanoskills aswell to reach same nanoskills as other breeds.

Thank you for the post Ahyip, im sure this will be very helpful to all agents

I think the biggest reason to choose a breed comes down to what abilities you want to have the highest. If i had to do it over again i would be opi just because they have such a huge advantage in sense and agility. A 220 opi agent probably has around 1100 agility without buffs or other twinking items. While a solitus agent can just barely, having all items possible, get 1100 agility. Unlike stam/strength and intel to a lesser extent, you just cant bridge the gap between opi agil/sense and solitus.

Very nice information there, Ahyip. I'd like to see this made sticky so that all the new Agent players can see their potential end stats and make a more informed decision as to their breed choice.

But damn, that's a lot of minuses.

Whats interesting is the amount of IP it takes to max out the abilities at 220.

    Here goes.

    Code:
Base IP at level 220: 18453500

    Used IP Atrox: 3055545
    Used IP Opifex: 3277475
    Used IP Nanomage: 3317700
    Used IP Solitus: 3633132

Seems to me that NanoAgent is still an interesting choice if you plan on casting a lot (i.e. Mimic Doc). NanoInit & Nanoresi are nice ones, too.

Tier3 is overrated IMHO..Beast drops better stuff & azure body is still good.

Hmmm maybe is start someday another Agent

i use my Dbody more often than my azure one now , and i ll stick to faithfull one when i ll be able to equip a decent QL : 60 to AS is better than -10% nanocost when u aren t soloing.

and for nano init opi is better aswell than nanomage.
choosing nanomage for a bit more nanoresist and some nanopool isn t worth every advantage u lose from opi

    what drevil just said.

and thanks arl, didn't know auno updated his breed caps thingy.

basically, at 210 plus, you do NOT want to be a nanomage agent, unless you are sicko pvp and go NR perkline or something.

tier 3 doesn't suck imo either. if you look at the 300 of all agent armor, it really adds a ton of AR and Aimed shot (and even ranged init for the sleeves i believe), for pvp, more than pvm, AR is the key to getting those perks off. you quickly realize at 213 (me, now) that, in order to stand a chance against anyone 210 plus in pvp nowadays, you need insanely high AR and AS, and, thus, need to level to 220 to stand a chance.

    um, nerf acrobat pliz.

One thing in favour of nanomage atm though, is that it does appear that they will be able to get 790 in both Psychic and Stamina, with not too much trouble. This means that they will have a 2 second delta on both HP and NP.

    That could amount to something.

  17. #17
ahh yes, absolutely right arl, i currently have about 830 in psy and i enjoy the 2s tick. i had to forego a lot of Adddef in symbs and imps for it though. but, with 200 imp in right arm and foot for nanodelt, i get 70 nano per 2s, which, checking with nt's comes out to about twice of what pnh gives you. it is definitely an advantage to exploit. (omgz i said exploit!!!!eleven)

  18. #18
hehe, if there would be a chance to change breed, I would go Nano

2s NanoDelta ticks and up to -55% NanoCostReduction

As for the choice of body armor: in PvM DBA is certainly a choice but for PvP i still prefer -10% NCR over 60 AS or +AddDmg.

    Tier3 back vs. OTAF: 900 AC -50 HP vs. 200 NP and 25 Evades/Inits + cool look.

Like I've always said, be happy with what you play, after all it's you that is the one having fun. I like my agent a lot, wouldn't change for the world.

Atleast some differences in skills and what not are outlined in this post for persons to see what they may be able to expect form the different breed choices, specifically for agents.

I've updated the list with base ability caps & Breaku's IP expenditure infomation.
