Games within the Game
I think adding Chess, Checkers, and Playing Cards would be a great idea. Each would be very easy to add to the game, and a player could start a game simply by selecting a person and right clicking on the game they own. Playing cards could come in all kinds of different decks, and a few basic card games could be added.
Rubi-Ka could have a few game parks where people could gather and play.
lol if the programmers wanted to take the effort, they could allow us to play vs. NPC's for practice.
I would LOVE that!! Being able to sit down at a poker game and bet credits would be so much fun)
Make us a saloon with 0% suppression.. that was if someome tries to deal from the bottom of the deck you you can have a showdown >

A game of times long lost, in the dangerous world of Marketing, 1999. Yer an upcoming commercial illustrator, and have to survive on freedrinks, small canapees, and salted peanuts while launching this big secret product that the competitors are doing their best to get a hand on...
I really think they should of gave some kind of doll for the in-game suprise, and then introduced gambling a few patches later.

If they make a casino type place or decks of cars.. I just don't want to see a "Gems" type game that plays over the GUI.

I think that the types of games in said casinos should vary depending on alignment.
For example,
Clan: Lots of Player-to-Player type games...blackjack, poker, craps...that sort of stuff
Omni: Lots of Machine type games...roulete, slot machines, a wheel-of-fortune type (don't remember the gambling name of it)...that sort of stuff
Neutral: These guys should have the most cansinos of the three groups (after all, they have a big customer base...omni,clan,and neutral!), and they should have all types of games.

Another thing, if you implement gaming, make it so that some gambling machines are player-buyable. So you could stock your apartment with slot machines, roulete, a blackjack table..and you could run your own little underground casino. Just beware if the guards find you! Of course, you'd have to make a way to let other people into your apartment, first...

Great Ideas people, I love the Casino ideas. And of course one might expect to find "shadowy" figures, NPC's and black market stuff in such places too. Since i'm always desperate for credits i might get addicted though! :/

Casino's would be cool to see. Newland could definately use one!
They could make slot machine's a 1 player at a time thing, and card dealers could have any # of players at the table(depending on the game). It would be great to sit down and play some blackjack with 4 other people, or play a game of poker with 8 people!
I would really love to see some sort of an 8 player board game. Playing against guild mates, or just people from the crowd would be great!
Casinos would really increase the social aspect of the game. I'm all for it; Funcom you listening??
Nice idea - I'd rather see the major bugs, lag issues, crashing, missions being horked, the list goes on and on .... FIXED BEFORE they add more stuff filled with bugs...

Finally get some better use out of the numerous empty buildings in Omni-Ent. (And i guess old omni-2 might deserve a lil' spot as well, to soothe the rebels and get their minds off killing things.)

I would love a casino, but I think there is a real reason why no major online game till now has had one.... If you can sell in game credits for real money (ebay etc.) then one can say that in game credits have real value and then some jerkwater DA will file some charges on FC, they do have an office in the USA. I love the USA but sex and gambling just don't go over to well in some parts. Chess and such that only have a ranking system would be OK though.
Personaly I would love to see casinos, strip clubs, and other "red light" type things in game.

How about a game of Pong?
Furniture merchant will sell "Videogame console" and TV, which can be placed in your apartment. Connect Console to TV and you will be able to play a simple game of Pong (monitored on your TV) and compete against a friend. This will make the apartment more usefull I`d personally like the idea of a futuristic arcade, but that would be too much.
I also like the idea of ingame "collectibles" like trading (maybe even game?) cards, which have different values (rare,common etc.) It would be even better if you have good combinations of cards (cards that have something in common) can give you bonusses on for example damage output. Ofcourse it will be hard to find all the cards you need to get such a bonus because of the rarities. Again maybe this is too much, I still think the Pong idea is possible though.
Casino is cool idea too, and the strip club, people will have a bigger choice of places to go to for socializing and adds to mature content.
