Being as it is now that NT dont really have decent defensive capabilities (NS = 19s speed bump to reclaim, blinds = semi ok but dont quite cut it, layers = just delaying inevitable when SL mobs hit for 2k damage and when layering we dont do damage) im looking for something that could help me kill SL mobs - not talking about the ones that have 40m melee range (long armed buggers the lot of them).
Rooting and nuking from afar is still the best way to do it (same as kiting but.. one cant kite in dungeons ). BoA has 26% chance of breaking on attack which sometimes allows me to nuke poor mob to death with impunity and sometimes i have to go through good 'ol nuke,ns,fulldef,blind,layer,nuke,wait till ns,ns, full agg routine. *sigh*

Can anyone who has Theoretical Research trained tell me if this root breaks on attack ?

Looking at aodb Quark Containment Field - it doesnt but i dont want to spent 9 days reseting perks . Would be nice to have some unbreakable root - would give NT opportunity to deal damage for at least 79s and avoid finger acrobatics.

Have it and tested it.
Doesnt brakes under dmg at all-i landed it on galahad at raid and it lasted for 1 min with 24 people hitting him.
Also i can land it on almost everything in sl (exept high sided mobs that i couldnt even land blinds on).

It also doesn't break in PvP, even if an Enforcer Rages 5000000 times. I was watching Gunnan duel Advocator, and Quark stayed up the whole duel, even after continious nukes from Gunnan and constant Rages from Adv.

Too bad free movement kits negate the said root, huh?

Doesnt break while being attacked.....and can be used on the run as well....so you get agro from a passing mob just root as you run by ...

And yes the free movemnt stims break it....which comepletly destroys its usefulness.

Well if you're opponent uses a First Aid stim to heal himself then the First Aid skill is locked and can't use a Free Movement and then it's the perfect time to use this sweet unbreakable root. Completely 100% worth the 3 points (not More though) of Theoretical Research.

Its one of the best specials we have and is completely unbreakable in the PvM enviroment. Hardly ever gets resisted, only thing that has against me is Smug and the Mercs, and I've even landed it on Smug.

PvP its ok, short term shock until they hit it with a free movement stim.
