Oh btw just a reminder, SS said in another thread the QFT requirement is a little fishy. She said a GM has posted a note about it to the devs.

So something to consider before you dump IP into QFT solely for this.

the QFT req is fishy for the quest, since one needs to assemble it themselves for the quest to progress, that what was broken..

i dont think they will change the QFT req on the process, they prolly only fix the quest so one needs to show the assembled crystal or something for it to progress.

Heck, I'll never put IP into QFT, I only got like 1173k spare

But I had an engi do the QFT part today of a ql 90 pattern, required exactly 540 QFT. What is the fishy part you have experience? Just so we all know

You can succesfully complete the quest without doing any of the tradeskill parts yourself.

It messes with the mission updates a bit - but you're still able to complete it.

Assuming you have -1000 or better Redeemed faction.

Haven't tested it since the server down though... maybe they fixed that.

Have not tried it yet, probably will tonight, need to find a full set of patterns though.

Can you use any RK tower high enough QL or do you have to be in an org with high QL towers (which will suck big times) ?

In Pen I found "Fragment of the Source", [SPECIAL]. Anyone know a use for it? Cant combine it with crystals or anything 0_o

Did you try it on an empty cannister Letah?

Perhaps on a mob drop Unpolluted Crystal?

Perhaps you need to refine it first in some way?

Hard to say really. I haven't seen anyting on its use so far.

Tried it on an Unolluted Crystal and Tried to refine it, no effect. Ill try a canister tmmrw, zzz now

I find it weird as they ONLY drop from the heavely guarded 4 unique named spirit mobs found in that old Penumbra fortress, middle of the eastern zone.

I've been experimenting a bit with the Boon's I so far have to see what ql of crystals they make:

Ocra-Bhotaar (ql 50) => ql 50 crystal
Ocra-Roch (ql 100) => ql 100 crystal
Enel-Bhotaar (ql 140) => ql 175 crystal (?!)

Anyone else noticed this irregularity? How about the other Boon's?

The ql of the tower doesn't seem to influence the result of the final crystal (I tried on different ql's). The tower just needs to be equal or higher then the empty crystal as was mentioned.

If only the pattern descides how much NP you need, isn't the 1012 NP needed for the ql 135 pattern for the Sheol guarden quest a tad too high? I could only try with my ql 175 crystal, as I don't have any 135ish ones.

I think it might be interesting to have more then one ql of Boon, as it isn't always easy to find a high ql Controler that's not 25%

As I was in Nascence trying to complete the first quests I have not interested myself in the process yet but some of the things stated make me wonder, so I'll ask for precision.

Does the QL of the Boon used have any influence on spawned boss level?
Does Incarnator location have any influence on boss level?
Can we "Good guys" get Boons? Where?
Have you had Boon nanos drop off mobs? Which ones and around where?

That's about all the questions I can think of right now.
Don't work on sundays... makes you try to troll AO board and generally it's not ealthy.

1) No, not as far as I no. But you can use any boon of higher QL than the pattern (tradeskill depend on pattern not boon).

2) Dont think so, just have to be higher QL than crystal.

3) I have only seen them in the Elysium garden, if I remember correct (only access to Adonis so far). There are always 2 nanos in the shop, and they changes all the time. Be aware of that Boons with same name come in multiple QLs, like the Enel-That Boon I expect you can get QL 150-169 or so. As far as i know you just need one, as high as you can cast, to begin with.

4) Have found one nano on a hecklar in SW Elysium, a QL 169 Enel-Thar Boon.

Found:

Blueprint of the Trapped Soul is related to the Scheol garden quest... when it works.

If they do change the reqs, I just hope they'd change it to something reasonable for a MP to do. More or less half the NP req in some other skill would be possible for a MP. Being able to have one good tradeskill for ourselves start to finish again wouldn't be THAT bad would it?

I upped chemistry way too much for CAS and Barter armor. Now it would be nice to have a tradeskill much more MP friendly to excel at.
