Thread: The Doctor Guide to Perks!

    Power Up, Scotty

    Nice compilation Jynne,

out of boredom and in hunt for tokens I decided to spend 7 perk points on Power Up (182 Doc) and I love it!

The mobs in my, admittedly low (ql163), solo missions were dropping like flies on a hot day.

The specials never landed until I poured my 220k+ spare IP into ranged energy... hmm, the specials ain't *that* nice but sometimes add another 200-1200 damage every 2 minutes (they recharge fast but never before Energize wears off) - I don't really know whether the stun really works, as the diference is hard to tell when they have Rapid Palsy already running :P
Mobs that have high evades (MAs and Fixers) usually resisted the specials, but RE isn't maxed or implanted yet.
Since I usually PVP at full-def I don't know whether the +105 dmg will do any good there, but I have good hopes for the stun once I get my RE a bit higher.

The reason I didn't do Specialist Healer yet is I don't have any problems healing on RK (sigh don't start about SL lol) and the specials I'm waiting for (Vaccinate and Hale and Hearty) aren't available to my 182 Doc.

    Just my 2 eurocents,

    cheers,

Just remember.. 3 days to untrain 1 perk point, and you only get 1 per 10 levels.

    True

    Yeah,

once I get my 1k board I'll start to gradually deperk my Power Up and go for the XP perks. Once I get to level 200 I will definetly go for Spec. Healing as both the effect and the specials are very cool.

Just 21 days to get back those 7 perk points - not too long imo.

    So..

    Warning: Noob doc question.

So what would be the suggestion from you more experienced docs for a below lvl 50 doc to place my 4 perk points, and when I reach lvl 50 where to put my 5th?

My main priority is team and team-member healing, I will not PvP for some levels yet...

Anything that buffs BM/MM, or your general skills (so you can equip higher implants)

Perk choice at lower levels doesn't really matter much IMHO, since you don't have any really 'uber' ones until you level up a bit. Also, you'll be respecc'ing out of what you chose at lower levels anyway, so you might as well expirament and see what works for you now.

Also saving your perkpoint untill higher level could be wise. If you wont get much out of the point untill then anyway, why not spare yourself the hassle of untraining them?

Not saying it has to be dont this way - but look at your options, when lines will be available to you, and plan ahead. Thats all.

Awsome guide. I really appreciate it for my doc. I was an idiot and blew alot of points at his lower levels so now im stuck waiting 72 hours each point before I can correct my idiocy.

Im personaly choosing Nano Surgeon, Specialist Healer, Nano Doctorate, and Genius.

Ive also got 2 points into First Aid (wich im working on taking out) but they helped me get my 200 implants in much earlier.

    battle group heal question

im thinking of trying out doc again, and staying neutral

as i understand it the battle group heal would only heal fellow neuatrals in range ?

it thats right could any neutral docs tell me if its still worth taking or if i should get something else with my points.

and in general will not taking it gimp my healing abilities.

    all help greatly appreciated

Correct, it would heal only neuts (although I'm not sure if it'd heal other factions if they're in your team)...but it is still useful for the BM/MM/Treatment/FirstAid
    Peek-a-boo I see you.
