    Dark Carnival

Below is the Charter of The Dark Carnival. We are a high end org with a minimum level requirement of 90+. If you are interested please visit our site at www.dark-carnival.com and fill out an application or email me at truwind@dark-carnival.com

    Charter:
Without a sense of loyalty, there is no hope to achieve our goal for the guild. This isn't about being the hero and sacrificing yourself for a guildmate, it's about *wanting* to. It's knowing without question that when the **** hits the fan, every member of your group will be doing their job and looking out for each other.
If you are loyal to those in the guild, others will be there to help you when it is needed. Note the last word, *needed*. Being a member of the guild doesn't entitle you to unlimited use of it's resources. We're not here to serve you. We are all playing this game together. No one person's time is more valuable than another's. Don't ask for help lightly, if you can help yourself, then do so. If you need advice or guidance, ask. Ask to be shown how to travel so you don't need to rely on others. Abuse of a friend is a sure way to lose them.

Generosity flows freely in the guild. Items are passed down to those in need, IF they deserve them. We're not a twinking guild, but it all comes back to loyalty and friendship. Sure we need money to buy equipment and practice trades, but the guild is perfectly capable of keeping it's members equipped. If you share and contribute to the guild, you won't be lacking in your own needs. It may not be immediate, but your needs will be met.

The better equipped your guildmates are, the better they will serve along side you in battle. It is in everyone's best interest to help keep each other well equipped. That doesn't mean you have to give everything away, if you need money, offer to sell to a guildmate at a reasonable cost. Likewise, when someone gives you something, remember that it's a gift. When you are done with it, offer it back to the giver, or make arrangements with them as to what to do with it. It's considered poor taste to sell a gift.

Both in DC groups and non DC groups, you should always be fair in looting. We certainly don't want others to view us as greedy. Try not to argue about loot, the best bet is to always establish looting rules up front with the group. If you don't agree with them, move on. An all DC group should never have looting arguments. It comes back to sharing, if something drops that someone can use, then let them have it. Use doesn't mean put it in the back or give to a low level twink, it means the player can benefit from actual use of the item, and thus the guild benefits.

Keep in mind that part of our reason for being in the guild is to have fun. We're not in this to win the game. We all have our bad days, try to realize when you are and not take it out on others. Be courteous of those around you. Offer to help others out when you can. If you have a problem with someone, discuss it with them, especially if they are a guildmate. If you have problems with other players in the game, try to work it out, or simply avoid interaction with that person. Always keep in mind the ugliness of politics in this game. People belong to guilds, they have friends, their friend might be your friend. What starts out as an argument can turn into you being blacklisted later on in the game, or worst, guildwars, which we have NO desire to be any part of.

    Gameplay:
We certainly don't want to tell people how to play the game. On the other hand, there are ways to play the game that people don't care for. We want this guild, and all of it's members to carry a good and respected reputation. A good way to do that is to play the game in the "spirit" it was meant to be played. Play the game to have fun, don't look for the fast easy way to get to the top. That's not what our guild is about, and others seeing guildmates playing this way gives the guild a bad reputation. We're not a roleplaying guild either, but I think we should at least strive to follow the roleplaying intent of the game. If you decide to do something questionable, ask the guild's opinion on the matter. It's the opinion they voice that will in the end reflect upon how they view you as a member of the guild.

Asking a level 52 character .5 million to assemble a single cluster in a single implant doesn't help your image much.
