First, thanks for all the things in the game that reduce or eliminate downtime. That being said, there is still downtime. The very worst contributer is debuffs (especially in missions).

Example: You do a solo mission. Each time you encounter an NPC Trader they cast debuffs that preclude you from casting or sometimes even using stims, etc. to recover. Now, that is perfectly fine during the fight but the downtime occurs after the fight ends. Many times the NPC will cast that debuff as their last act meaning you have to sit there several minutes until the darned thing wears off before going on.

My suggestion is that debuffs should end when the caster dies. That even makes sense in a story context...caster dies...hostile nanos dissapate (much like a robot pet becomes inoperable if its master dies or goes LD).

This should work OK for PvP too but I don' t PvP so not sure.

A couple of minutes doesn't sound like much, but it adds up in a mission with many casting NPCs.

This would fix the most onerous remaining cause of downtime in the game IMO.

Thanks for listening.
