ok...I did the alaphabet...now what??? I'm allowed 2 speak again...so why were u filling out finical aid forms for a 4 year-old all day? ........................... don't tell me its YOUR 4 year old...bet theres a story behind that.

Ah see half my family thinks its my kid and potentially it is my kid, but alas there is someone else who has claimed the kid, the husband...er ex-husband....and I think we will leave it like that seeing as how he can pay alot more child support than I can....but anyway mom still turns to me for most the crap, including trying to wad through those damn forms.....it took me 2 1/2 hours to fill out 2 pages and it was mostly 0s........

Except you need to add another zero to represent it in "octet" or "byte" form. IE...

1 = 00000001
2 = 00000010
3 = 00000011
4 = 00000100
8 = 00001000
16 = 00010000
32 = 00100000
64 = 01000000
128 = 10000000
255 = 11111111

ect...

Now to convert to hexidecimal:

1 = 01
2 = 02
3 = 03
4 = 04
8 = 08
16 = 10
32 = 20
64 = 40
128 = 80
255 = FF

binary does not have to be presented in octets (groups of 8) dont forget longs and floats

i prefere octal to binary, but hex is my favorite, because i can count in hex
