Dnet, hopefully the Neutnet of rk1

What is Dnet?

Dnet is a mass-messaging network that sends a message to every subscriber which is currently online. Dnet is NOT a instant messaging service.

Common commands

/tell Dnet !rules
/tell Dnet !register
/tell Dnet !help
/tell Dnet !send <message>

If at any time you don't feel like using the service you can always

/tell Dnet !unregister

To prevent spamming Dnet is limited to level 50+ characters, however anyone (and bots) can receive messages in a private group chat window by doing /tell Dnetorg !join

Current channels that you can !subscribe or !unsubscribe to

PVM - Used for sending pvm related messages such as building a raid, Tchu, or gathering people to another bot for the purpose of raiding, and other pvm related messages.

PVP - Used for announcing pvp events such as towers (although its advised to use sided pvp bots), bor pvp, or gathering people for battle stations.

Event - Used to informing people of a player or funcom run event such as NPC city AI raids, parties, or anything else the player base in general may have interest in.

Shopping - Used for selling or buying items and services. Try to refrain from posting duplicate messages over an extended period of time.

Lootrights - Used for selling or buying no-drop items.

General - Used for sending messages that you think may not fall into the other channels or to ask questions. This is NOT a spam channel.

Interesting.

As an ideea for shopping, maybe you could make some sort of channel when someone is selling or buying something, it sends a PM to everyone that's a member to the bot.

Few months after it was introduced on rk2 all public bots died and non - core professions had nothing to do anymore so their owners quit. Once it was really bad most of us found an amazing and easy solution...we moved on rk1 :D

Spam bot is the second marvelous invention after market manipulation we proudly present. Once you see something like "Dhnet says: 12m looking for crat ONLY" or empty Borealis remind what i told you. Good luck :D

cant u make it like a channel? right now you dont have much members so less announcements...later on when alot of ppl join it....it will be ****ing mess;p relaying **** and not to mention the load on the bot as it relays mass tells....

Just get lootrights on there and put a 30 minute restriction on it. Also put in the rules that you can't spam the same items two times, so you don't get a farmer trio spam their phats 3 times through the bot.

Getting all the message by tells instead of channel is a pain to sort them from other tells...

I like the way it is just put 2 hours lock on shopping and make a seperate lootright bot, and get some admins from all factions to sort out temp/perma bans incase someone abusing it by skipping the lockout with another toon. AS all rk2 people know it, the current neutnet on rk2 works very well.

I personally think a 10-15m lock on a individual channel per member would be good
its a long enough time between the last message that it is relevant to people who might have logged on since then or didn't notice the first message. And allows loot right sellers to post twice and still be able to get the buyer out to the loot before it rots.

That is the whole point of the bot, flood/spam control will keep the bot working and keep players from getting spammed out of their /tell window

Later on Dnetorg will support registering org bots so they can use a module to relay information from a private channel to the org channel they belong to.
(Note: Vhabot wont be able to directly support it, but a middle-man program could probably be created to support this feature)

Bump, 216 members, 43 currently online, and 3 one day bans so far!

Btw as for my alignment since it was brought in question, my main/highest level is omni because I have to pick a side to get a token board for pvp and I knew more people on omni then clan.

Most of my toons on rk1 are neutral, I have friends on all sides, and I have the strange ability to separate my side from making decisions that actually effect people which the majority of people seem to lack.

As for moderators me and switz are going to find equal amounts of people on all sides to keep the channels clean. If you don't like it, you don't need to use the system, but your not going to get anything more fair.

You can post some random messages in general until I get a trash channel setup, but flamming/trolling/being disrespectful is never allowed

Can you pls add lock betwin posts , at alst to be like neutnet on rk2 , to much spam . Today it was that shade who non stop spamed shop channals and i had 2 solution 1. ignore him ( but i cudnt ignore dnet) and 2. To give him what he want and maybe he will stop ( i sold him Soc and 250 CM sleev ) bad i had only 1 sleev and he didnt stop with spaming :D Good Luck , sorry about complaining , I love the dnet

Ya sorry, its high priority for Dnet, but I am also in the grind to finish school work off (2 days left!), so I haven't been able to touch the code since it went public.
