My love is like the desert
my love it is like
the Wailing Wastes
ever shifting grains of sand
you can try to estimate it
weigh it or collect it
but the deeper you dig
the more sand you'll find
My love is like the woods
of Central Artery Valley
it's full of venomous things
full of towering life
you can try to fence it in
cut it down or tame it
but the deeper you go
the more lost you become
My love is like a journey
my love is The Longest Road
there's always another step
always another place to go
you can try to reach the end
to carry on or to be strong
but you're never at home
until we're together again
