I have read almost every opinion on how a fixer should be improved und stuff. Most of them are very good ideas that can be arranged. But it got me to thinking...Since we fixers are computer freaks and Nanos are executed through a software (NCU). I think we should have more grasp for the tech. part of Nano stuff. Like what? Shutting down all NCU activity within a radius (EMP field like in Matrix. And hey we are all Neo s and Morpheus s) which has a certain duration lets say 30 secs? and treated as a friendly program that you can finish it anytime. This concept maybe the very base of the new ideas you and I can generate. I say If we are to compute then we are to control Nanos (up to a limit). Anyway its more logical then a trader ransacking our skills with credits. Any opinions?
Fixers are 'to control Nanos' ??
Huh !?!?
Try NT's should have these skills?
NT's should be able to do a TON of things they can't...
The below facts always astonished me....
Who can cast a nano to remove 'viral' (roots, etc) programs, Enforcers - Right?, Not NTs.
Who can cast just about ANY Nano Formula - AGENTS... Not NTs.
Who can get themselves into 'The Grid' from anywhere - well, many classes - but not NTs.
Who can buff Nano Programming skill - not NTs...
Who can buff Computer Literacy skill - not NTs...
It seems to me, that if you were somone that could do those (and many other) things - you would be called a Nano-Technician... one who knows the inner workings of nano-formulas...
Nt's are billed as 'The masters of damage'... yet you can't effectively 'Twink' yourself into better set of nano formulas... If you don't have the requirements In the Field - you can't cast the nuke... but an Agent (or anyone else for that matter) can get themselves into an increadibly 'over powered' weapon... and run around using it until they find there next uber weapon....
So... in closing - Agents... quit your wining - you can FP and get a healing pet, you can high damage, I team with em all the time and they high damage just fine... You are - pretty well off....
Adventurers... Let me just say - I play my adventurer when I want to have fun, and when I am tired of my Level 116 NT dieing in solo missions.... So - if you think you need help - please realize your place in line... (plus you can heal, you realize how huge that is ??)
Fixers... I gotta be honest - I don't know the details of your plight... So - they may be legit... But don't start saying you should be the masters of Nano Technology... Thats the 'Agents' job apparently...

then you probably say well what about checking up so you are in the right zone first?
to this i want to ask...
why can one not just let the whole world somehow have a directional pointer...or something .... where you put in the cords and then you get a lil line on the compass... just as in the missions thingies...
this can be a upgrade for the maps and you might need a amount in map nav but hey... I would have thought that it would be a simple fact to maneufacture something on Rubi-Ka... the tec is acctually high enough...
it would be very nice if this could be done also so you can make a reference of a person or a place.... so that you can like get the direction for where that person or place is...
How many times havent you all wanted to find a friend... well here on Rubi-Ka you can only find a friend by accedently meeting him or if he comes and get you after you have talked with him...
but why not be able to keep track of him?
if someone doesnt want to be keept track of ... well make the /ignore command more usefull and make it so that if you ignore someone they can not track you.. that should be simple...
thanks for listening and I hope i will find you all out there somewhere *s* tihi
LOL You sound pretty lost. Honestly - give it some time... getting around isn't really all that hard.
some of the funnier things you said:
"well here on Rubi-Ka you can olny find a friend if he comes and gets you after you have talked with him"
Is it just me, or does it sound like your friend knows his way around, and you don't?
"if someone doesn't want to be kept track of, well make /ignore command more usefull"
Wait - /ignore means I don't want to hear someone... Maybe I don't mind someone talking to me, but I don't want them to be able to just track me down... The /ignore command does exactly what it is supposed to do - and it does a fine job at it...
HOWEVER - a simple /nav 1340 2344 command or something - just to make your compass point to that spot on a local map - That would indeed seem a) Very Simple and b) Very Helpful.

agree....agents somehow took over our position as masters of nanos.... yet, if they are in for a fighting mission, they do kinda suck...my friend's Agent (about lv55 or so now) can't really fight thru any missions harder than 50%, but i pull ql150 missions for him to sneak thru while i sit in the first room, and he just yesterday, got his Ruse of Taren:3 nano via Sneaking. did someone say concealment is bugged? don't seem like it to me. btw, Ruse of Taren:3 is like what....ql159 nano? and he can just waltz in a grab it without much difficulty? I did help calm a few mobs for him, but damn, agents + trade/NT makes for a pretty stealthy team. the two of us also picked up several battlesuits this way, as well as a ql13x Burning Quartet for me. happy!! (re: Snarf's 66reasons why NTs suck, i can't buy any nanos at my lv since about 8lvs ago and i'm only lv89, with 582MC, 2 away from using Burning Quartet...grrr....ql115 implants here).
really, do try to add in a few minor fixes to more different professions each patch, and make patches come more frequently. no disrespect here, but i play both AO and DAoC, and balancing issues within each realm in DAoC are done better(although Midgard's are more fightworthy than Hib or Alb, I play Alb, on Guinevere for RP cuz AO don't got RP). one of the reasons (not a strong one but one anyways) is that it takes TOO long for you to start the program, having the updater check every file before letting u into the login screen. AO has a cleaner patching system, albeit more possibilities for hacking, but much more efficient than DAoC's crap. So, give us more patches, small ones, and at regular intervals, so we know what to expect. Don't have to be big, but at least for example.....
Every week, wednesday or so.....fix 1 weapon's tradeskill item, so i can finally make that Mausser Particle Streamer. That and most of the weapons in tradeskills have yet to be even mentioned about when it'll be fixed so we can make them.... or add 1 or 2 more items to the game, some perhaps just fun toys....like more leet dolls or something....just give us more stuff that is not hard to program in, but will give us more to look forward to, and perhaps less people will have time to sit here making up crap like this to try to satisfy ourselves because we are loyal customers to a company who don't seem to care.
btw, spell dimach correctly already. It's Dim-Mak. It's not some stupid american misspelling cuz they dont' know jack s*** about chinese martial arts. Dim-Mak means "to press an acupuncture point" (can be used to cause grave internal injuries, but not necessarily so....can also be used for healing, or to stop someone from moving parts of their body....from chinese fantasy martial arts novels, which the original word is Dim-Yuet) Yuet = accupressure point, Mak = pulse. similar words....slightly different meaning from chinese doctors/herbalists.
btw again....i like the coffee machine. =)

So it's not possible at all that in twenty eight thousand years a language can't have evolved at all? Just look at how much English (British or American or Australian or any form of it) has changed just in the last 100 years! That, or they could just spell it differently in Norway. ;)

Did you even read the post from a Funcom *developer* about /list? Rayfield quoted it three posts before yours, and others have read it and voiced their appreciation for it, but here it is one more time:

Past q125 nanos for Fixers: slows, area slows, run buffs,HoT's - you at least got SOMETHING. Agents got NOTHING.
All agents nanos past q125:
Consalment buff +600 - not combat buff, also quit useless by this lvl.
DoT's - you know.
Single Roots - who ever need this? There is no difference will be you target rooted for 3 min or for 4 min, but last one cost more NP.
Rifle&Aimed buff +120.
Death gaze -after stun nerf completely useless.
Thats all. No nanos to use in combat. Our best slow nano is q109.
Our rifle buff q136.
Yes, our roots is usefull - but still fixers have about x3 times more nanos past q125 than agents. Dont get me wrong - fixers have quite few nanos. Its just agents got even less. Whats why i said - give agents more nanos. Every prof got they nano-lines extended past lvl 125. Agents got they FP-line. And its not right. I want fight as AGENT, not as a soldier with TMS or sub-meta with ball.
