De toute facon, Funcom se fera du fric, avec ou sans ce patch...
Arriver au 200 en 2 mois de jeu pour se rendre compte qu'il n'y a plus rien a faire reduit la duree de vie du jeu, rendre les 200 levels un cauchemar en fera tout autant.
Les desequilibres ne vont pas apparaitre, ils sont la depuis longtemps. Le patch va en eliminer une grosse partie.
Si le surequippement profitait reelement a tout le monde, je doute que les joueurs qui etaient la dans les 3 premieres heures d'ouverture des serveurs seraient pour le patch hein? Eh bien je suis pour le patch, et j'etais la a l'ouverture du serveur... tu imagineras aussi combien de ble mon perso peut avoir depuis tout ce temps, un mocham ne represent pas plus de fric que l'achat de munitions; radin? non. Trop cave pour savoir comment surequipper? mouais, peut etre, ... j'ai assez de mal a equipper mon stigma ql135 sur mon twink level 20... le 120 passe mais un peu court pour le 135; par contre je trouve pas les mobs qui donnent plus d'xp, les rouges sont si pathetiques...

Ok you call it optimization others call it overequiping. Shall we mince words some more? Let's muddy the waters even further and make the topic even more rediculous.
Optimization....is it right for a lvl 10 player to carry the same equipment as a lvl 50 player...lvl 75 player...lvl 100 player or even a lvl 20 player? Should that much "optimization" be allowed?
Ok you don't like that, lets say it in another example.
A lvl 40 player has "optimized" himself so he is wearing equipment and weapons that make his character as powerful as a lvl 100 player. Or perhaps a lvl 100 player who has "optimized himself to be as powerful as a lvl 200 player.
It's all very possible with the game the way it currently is. Hell yeah I can equip and QL 150 Stigma Rifle on my lvl 35 agent , but is that fair to the lvl 100 agent who's not able(financially or just can't find the buffs or equipment) who is stuck with a QL 100 Stigma? No it most definatly is not.
I don't beleive the game was ever intended to be that unbalanced. Funcom made mistakes with what buffs can be used by what players. Mistakes are made by humans, they aren't perfect. They are now trying to rectify those mistakes. Do you think that if you were a game designer you wouldn't have made the same errors or worse? and beleive me, I'm a veteran of other MMORPG's, the mistakes Funcom has made are nothing to some of the unbalances I've lived through in other games. Did you play Asheron's Call during the first year and see the uber mages there who were so powerful they could take over any dungeon they wanted and get all the xp away from the other non mage players forcing them to vacate? Hell they allow battle macros to this day, where a mage can macro a battle strategy in a dungeon and let him fight there day and night without the person even being near his computer, thus making it his own personal hunting ground where noone else even hasds a chance. Have you seen a Dragon in EQ destroy an entire party of max level warriors over and over again or the fact that the game is still almost impossible to solo in? I won't even start on the huge unbalances of Ultima Online.
Cut them some slack is all I'm saying. They are trying to improve the game not destroy it just to spite some high level players. I hope everyone realises this. Just because they implement these changes now does not mean the game will not balance out in the future. Of course it will or they won't make any money. And if you think that is not their main goal you are a big damn fool.
I apologise for the rant, and I truly am not trying to be an a$$hole to anyone with different opinions than myself.
I do not understand the problem with this change
This patch will make people who use weapons that are 100% of a green skill in a much better position I think but it really changes little.
I also use the BBI and at level 52 my attack with a general buff is about 340. So I can wield a pistol that needs 408 skill while I have the general buff running without a problem.
That means I can baiscally equip about a ql80 pistol.
So I am still going to want another profession to buff me if I want to equip the best I can without a penalty because to do so I would need 68 points in buffs.
Ok so I do not get the +132 wrangle and pistol mastery to squeeze into a bigger gun but as I level I can take advantage of those buffs too because my +20% OE allowance will grow.
If it is a nerf it is very minor and is really a nerf to low levels. A level 1 guy can not wrangle buff his way into a bigger gun because 20% of his skill is nothing.
As we level the 20% gets bigger and bigger thus meaning you can over equip more without penalty.
For the record I am an adventurer so I can only use the general nano to self buff. Both a blessing and a curse.
