Re: A few words on the AO story - A COMPLETE LIE

So at what point did this fail to translate into storyline updates, article updates, ANYTHING at all?

The fact that you are essentially culling all official debate by removing this forum, and have obviously failed in spectacular fashion in following through with your statement of December 13, 2002 is enough room for concern.

How it develops? WHAT developments? Quite simply, you've half-@ssed your way from November on, with no improvements in sight; we have just witnessed the implementation of one of the most cataclysmic occurences in Rubi-Kan history (for which we were given little "official" storyline notice to begin with), and yet the "officials" are dead silent. That is far beyond the proverbial "dropping the ball" - you spiked it at 50-yard line. THAT is proof enough that you are, quite frankly, full of s4!t.

It obviously is. Unfortunately, that future doesn't involve an active storyline, as you have proved by your inaction.

When I started working on the story for AO, the first thing I did was to prepare the physical introduction of actors in the game world, groups of NPC’s representing different story Clans, Omni departments and free agents like Ian Warr’s gang of mercenaries etc. Already some of these are in the game and a lot more is to follow. These story organizations will be the main actors in and set the stage for events and the development of the AO story in general.
I should really start a poll asking what's left of the "community" if they believe that, especially in light of the fact that the Sentinels overthrew Tir, and yet we heard nothing from anyone.

It is quite obvious that we need a patch to get these groups (new NPC's, uniforms, items, signs, offices, quests etc.) out to the live servers and the plan is to introduce a couple at the time like we have started doing. Some of these organizations, or factions, are peaceful; others will be demanding their space, like The Sentinels.
Hmmmm..."demanding their space"? I haven't heard anyone from the Sentinels actually "speak" about such things.

Player organizations together with NPC organizations are all a part of and create the Rubi-Ka community.
Glad to see that was taken into account in light of the recent forum decision. By now, it should be painfully obvious to you that your "community" only comprises two groups: your beloved NPCs and the boot-licking fan sites that pressured you into this.
*Rosethorn, Meister, et al., this is not against any of you - I respect you for your dedication to your work, but have very little respect for FC right now.

As well as introducing new factions, the ones already on the arena will be reformed to adapt to what is happening on Rubi-Ka.
[Twink1]: D00dz! I just spent 4 hourz campin Tara and got this ph@t X-3!! Let's go kill some ICC peacegimpz!
I do hope your "factions" are prepared to exclusively, solely, deal with that, because that is all you have left.

Just remember; those are run by NPC's with their own ambitions and agendas and they will not necessarily react in the way you would expect them to.
Indeed. It is quite surprising that Ross hasn't uttered a word since October; that Derousse hasn't said anything for 2 months, despite these "notum wars"; and that, oh, there hasn't been a storyline update to so much as inform us of these groups theoretically present "agendas" of which you speak.

- Player actions: there are many, none of which so much as get tacit support from FC
- Events: what are these? I haven't seen an "official" event in months. Everything I see is the result of the ARK "greenies" working their @sses off trying to cover for FC's incompetence and neglect. TO THE ARK EVENTS TEAM: This isn't meant to insult you guys - I know you're volunteers and work your buts off, but I also realize that you can only do so much.
- Web Material: THE F()CKING AUDACITY of the fact that you utter this statement, issue a TAG editorial, and then shrink back away and ignore us after this little bout of appeasement makes me sick.

Still wonder why none of us have any trust or respect for you or this "story team"? (oh, and by the way, what ever happened to the "AO Live Events Team"? Funny how they slipped silently away with Ragnar and haven't been replaced.)

Oh! And one last thing; The interesting thing about coming to new and strange places is usually not to actually see the sights, but rather not to know what you are going to experience, never knowing what is behind the next corner.
Unfortunately, us suckers who waited anticipantly for something to jump at us from around that corner get stuck with this b()lls4it.
