where was I, well when the first plane hit I was sound asleep at home. My father called to tell me a plane had hit the world trade tower. I turned on the TV the moment the second plane hit. It was a humbling experiance.

I ama soldier...in game and out...i volunteered 3 years ago this past august...and never have i been more willing to serve then the past year, seein people from my country ( the US) and others, stand together, be there for each other, and help those who suffered has made me proud to do what i do.
I ama soldier...I do without some things others take for granted, I make very little in the way of money...i work hours that others would quit over...and thanks to people like you...it matters not. You help us in the service remember why it is we volunteered to do the "dirty work"
So, ill stand forward, and say Thank You for helping us remember why we sacrifice so much for so little.
My name is Specialist Thomas A. Simmons, currently assigned to 1st Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, US Army.
I am a scout, in the truest sense of the word, they cant see me...but i know where they are.
I serve for you...and one day i may die for you...and i thank you for understanding my choice.
./me salutes

Sleep well and sleep deep, we are on duty, as we always will be.
I see we have similar tastes in literature...
/me salutes
I have left active service, 5 years in regular service and 2 years in different UN missions was enough.
Keep the faith!
I will close the thread now. Thank you all for posting.
