Actually no matter if it was a proc or nano it would be more powerful than Aimed Shot by the simple fact that it would work in PvM during a fight, not just at the start of the fight.
P.S. A Lock could be put on to make it PvP only but I'm not a fan of PvP/PvM only locks and kinda goes against the idea of not having to have different toolsets for PvP and PvM.
P.P.S. If anyone deserves an AS Proc it should be agents :p
P.P.P.S. I personally don't think Aimed Shot should be on one handed weapons, so I would wholeheartedly support it being removed from the one hander, everyone thinks that gun is crap anyway so why not? (That would then give Sneak attack an advantage over Aimed shot as well if Aimed Shot can't be gained from Duel Wielding) :p
P.P.P.P.S. Please no discussions about Aimed Shot being re-usable in PvM through dodgy actions.
Lets see , Adventuring is to 0 , Multi Ranged is at 0 , Nano Pool is at 0 , I have a bit of IP in shotgun , which is more to counter drains putting me in OE , Aimed Shot is maxed , I have the ip in PM to 850ish so I can cast Istare w/ 3 swaps. And I have the MC ip to cast Ivon with some serious swapping. And that leaves me with some 300k IP , that i'm wondering whether i should max fling shot or not with.
But then again.. I'm sure you have plenty of ip on your 220 adv yes ? Try ip-ing evades then :)
Anyway back to crats. I hope you get your aimed shot pistol and is not profession locked ;)
Hello,
Lawl.
right, I'm melee, maybe the IP drain actually is that much more as ranged. Fair enough :)
You mean 20%-40% chance, last I checked your nuke did 2,173 min, which is what it would hit for in pande, 3,323k max which rarely happens. Disregarding % Add Nano Damage cause it would effect either nuke equally.
Additionally no lock preventing use of the normal nukes either, so look at it either way you like, on high HP Mobs you can still get more damage out of it than you can with AS in PvM.
so really 60% - 80% odds of doing more than your best nuke for a 1 second recharge and no chance of it being resisted, where your current best is 4 seconds, would I suspect significantly increase Crat PvM DD, something that at last check didn't need any help at all.
Only way I would want to see a pistol with that sort of nuke on it would be if the pistol had 1-1(1) damage on it and couldn't be hotswapped. You'd get your AS Pistol at the cost of regular damage.
I think we need A smaller clip and FA on the silverback. Trader Only of course. And capped recharge on all specials by default.
Yes, you want to be the best DD profession at the same time as being one of the best PvP professions.
If you want someone to blame then blame Malaxia for her 600k DpM stats which as far as I can tell you want to make possible while having uber PvP weapons equipped.
I think that pretty much sums up what you're talking about.
imo pistols would be fine if crats could actually get enough AR to hit anyone. And also crats desperately need an offhand pistol. Using CDR at 220 sucks if you don't have enough money for a set of css or just want to go nano skill setup and use CS instead (I'm exaggerating ofc but still, how many crats use ql 300 peregrine mk6?) or give crats more pistol, burst and multi ranged buffs/perks/whatever.
I'll break this down for you nice and easy, since my OP is apparently difficult for you to understand.
1) I'm not asking for an increase in PvP or PvM damage.
2) Crats are not the top PvM DD profession. This would not change, and if you think crats _are_ the top DD profession, you are simply wrong. If you have a complaint about us being near the top, then your complaint is one with the vast history of AO, as crats have been a top DD profession in pvm since SL.
3) Crats are not the top PvP profession. We aren't even close to the top, if anything, we're semi near the bottom, and we're about to get a stun proc nerf that will limit average bureaucrat effectiveness in pvp pretty significantly.
4) A crat would still not be able to maximize pvm damage and pvp damage at the same time, even with a viable pvp pistol. Why? Because to do top PvM damage on a crat, you need to sabotage all of the critical things that make pvp crats effective. And vice versa. Weapons are just one small part of the equation, there's also perks and all of your equipment, which make a pretty big difference.
And seriously, the main point is that I'm not asking for a boost of any kind. Bureaucrats can already do good pvm damage, if you have a problem with that, this isn't the thread to complain about it, because I'm not asking for a boost to crat pvm potential. And vice versa, if you have a problem with crats doing semi OK pvp damage, I'm not asking for a pvp boost either.
