I don't see why it's so sad. I mean, atthe end, the box says 'for lease', implying the kitty moved out and got a better life! :)
Or maybe it's for lease cuz someone made the cat into hotdogs.. :O
...hotdogs that they sold in the northern territories since the indigenous fauna up there is too mutated for consumption.
