Why multiboxers are killing this game...do something please.
Yes....another whine thread...but....COME ON ALREADY LOL...
1. The obvious, they absolutely ruin pvp. I've recently started playing again and from what I've seen pvp doesn't exist outside of battlestation anymore. People are too scared to flag in bor (specifically at tl7, but also at tl5) because of the threat of being instakilled by multiboxers. So you end up with the situation of either being flagged and refreshing said flag for hours on end with no one ever attacking you, or as previously stated you are instakilled the second someone who multiboxes sees you flagged and gets all their toons logged in and ready to go. This also makes tl7 towers an absolute joke and it's pretty obvious why.....As someone who has kept paying for this game (and I don't know why....) for years, SOLELY for the purpose of pvping, this is getting completely ridiculous and I cannot see how FC has done nothing about this other than "FIX" assisting, which by the way did absolutely nothing to solve the issue, and I'm sure they are well aware of that fact.
2. I've run into another issue in pvm situations, ya sure it's interesting that multiboxers can just team themselves with all their accounts and do team content on their own. But when there's enough people doing it, it hurts normal players who are trying to find teams. And in an mmo that has already been bleeding subscribers this is a major issue. I myself have had troubles finding teams for inferno missions at peak hours, but see multiple people multiboxing and running their own to level alts.
Now this is just my two cents, and personal feelings on the matter, and I'm sure many people agree, something needs to be done, and it needs to be done soon....because it's kind of getting out of hand. I have played this game since 2005 and pvp and the community has been what keeps bringing me back, but honestly if something isn't done about people multiboxing it's just going to remain being a stagnant, unplayable mess. It's time to clean out the fridge and get rid of some bad eggs FC....
You wouldn't need to brainstorm and come up with more "fixes" that don't work, if you just straight up ban them outright..This kind of behavior in LITERALLY any other game simply would not be tolerated and I fail to see FC's reason for not banning them.
And sure you can make the argument that programs like clicksaver are also third party, but programs like that do not hurt the game, or other peoples experience. In fact FC should have taken clicksavers functionality and just built it into the game in my opinion that way you could still enforce third party programs not being allowed and add a very useful feature to the game that hundreds of people use via third party programs.
Anyway that's my opinion on the matter, and I know nothing will probably change and this post probably won't even be seen by anyone that matters.
