AI30 Hate

So, the parts for new nanos drop from APF. Parts needed drop seperately from not just one sector, but all 3. And they're nodrop.

This blows big chunks. It really does.

As my engi is AI30 already the AXP changes have absolutely no benefit for him.

So now, here are my options for how to get my engi loot while neglecting my doc that could actually use the AXP:

(A) potentially alienate friends and orgmates by demanding lootrights
(B) join Campalot and burn hundreds of points
(C) join raffle raids that give me a better chance of winning the RK4 lottery than winning lootrights.

I've raided like everything in the game 100 times after I didn't need whatever was there, just to help my friends get it. Stop whining and care about helping your friends and they might care about you too and help you get your loot.

Every quest has had a large XP/SK component to it. Unless you weren't LE70 until after you had all your DB stuff and other quests completed (possible, but plenty of 220/30/70s were done before those quests) then you wasted SK there, too. No difference.

Once a bunch more people are 220/30/70 after this round of AI30s finish then there will be more people wasting AXP and SK when the next round of quests/grinds come out, too.

And I'm sure there will be whining then, too.

I guess FC could start making quests and/or loot grinds that have absolutely no AXP or SK reward ... but that kind of goes against the idea of the game imo.

I wouldn't mind seeing AO have some sort of "future pool" so that if you've reached max level and have to do a grind like this for an item that it get puts into a "maybe next expansion you can use this experience" pool ... but overall that's a lot of work for a small benefit.

I'm sure there will be lots of other AI30 people complaining. Just like people groaned when they had to do SK again for research or dinged 220 before Inferno mission rewards were out ... I've even been one of those people :) But that doesn't change the fact that you're griping about a non-event. Spend a few days gathering your items and be done at APF again.

Don't expect a free ride just because you are ai30. It is as difficult for you to get the new stuff as it is for everyone else, remember, not everyone wants the extra axp and some would never ever imagine doing so many apf raids.

It's like complaining about pande raids if you are LE70.

Someone start me a thread so I can complain about not getting value from SK in Pande now that I've done all the research I care about?

Its the EXACT same idea, so I -do- understand. Except that the time it takes to get the items from APF will be much much lower because they drop multiple times each kill.

Still AI30 needs a reward, but not those nanos. Permanent AI tech 3 sounds more of a reward for such a task.

And for the record, I've already tried getting a small group of friends together. It didn't happen. The zerg mentality, or 'impatient slacker twat syndrome' as it's also known, is already spreading rampant.

Well, you're president of your guild according to your sig. Why don't you guys raid it together? Or are you so far into zerg mentality that you can't?

Lol at ppl with AI30 complaining they have to go back in APF - here's betting ppl who thought they've seen their last Beast will have to go grind Pande to get new loot when that zone is instanced.

Ludicrous. If anything, AI30 needs less reward now as it is easier to get AI30 now!

If your toon is finished, clearly you don't need anything and won't need to do APF :) If your toon isn't finished, you'll go through the same process to get the nanos everyone else does.

It's patch day. Same as when Inferno quests, new DB, etc all came out. Everyone is running around trying to soak the new content. Things will calm down and you'll have people looking for good players to do smaller runs again.

There's these things called alts. Maybe you've heard of them.

You know what I did when my engi hit AI30? I started bringing my doc more. And then I signed up as a Campalot (RK1 omni apf bot) raidleader.

Why the hell would you demand loot rights? You're in a guild... don't you raid stuff together for someone beside yourself? Whatever loot distribution system you use, I think it'd be easy to know up front whether you'll be up for getting the items or not, so all it'll take is one raid in each sector.

Is it so, that every time someone gets what they need they /quit that particular raid? Personally I fu*king hate pande... I hate it from the bottom of my heart, but I still go whenever there's a FFA week and I have the time, and so does any sane person who cares about their guild.

no one forces anyone to get those nanos. you want the nano, you do the quest, do the grind, do the raid, wait for your loot etc. if you dont want this, then dont want the nano. you were just fine without them werent ya?
