APF Damage Dumper Tutorial For Soldiers:

APF Raid Call is Issued

• Remove Compiler to maximize NCU
  
• Get Fixer NCU if you can
  
• Go to TG and get every damage buff available
  
• Get to raid as soon as you are sufficiently buffed
  
• Target oranges and lower unless you're out of lowbies
  
• Ranged pull first, Use Clipfever across large groups, SB if it helps
  
• Run ahead of Raid Party, always be the first to pull, THIS IS KEY!
  
• Ignore the raid leaders requests to stay back, or you wont get that first alpha in.
  
• Ignore everyone who tells you that you suck, remember: You're a star, they just don't understand that!

-- MOST IMPORTANTLY!! --

• - Make sure to post your dump as soon as the buffs start running-out or you might lose your chance!
  
• - Brag endlessly as if you actually have skillz
  
• - Log out and restart WoW

Most of us are in our teams /sighing about the pathetic show you're putting on, wondering what you think you're achieving

I see some of you that are STILL doing it every raid after 3 or 4 years! (Unless you do horribly, then you never post for some reason)

I just thought I'd tell you so you don't go around being too impressed with yourselves.

I have been running dd lately on beast raids to see how I compare to PVMers who are top of their game :)

Not sure why people get angry at others playing at 110% while doing PVM.
At least they aren't slacking.

I never saw the point of dmg whoring tbh. Pointless unless you're fighting for lootrights or something.

i always only assist unless it's obvious that the only mob anywhere nearby on top of group is the one to shoot, and never endanger raid. works fine for me.

please ban those dd'ers from hc for all i care

If you are listening to the raid leaders, and doing as they instruct, then this is a completely moot point, as tactics are geared towards the KT doing their job as directed and OD-ing is not an issue...

You are confusing an organized raid with a kill-steal imho, which implies that that is how you see it, which I hope is something you only confuse in the forums...

Whining, yes, that is a great subject. I seem to recall someone whining about why he wasn't on the kt with his great damage just recently :p

It's telling that we have soldiers who see ks as a personal strategy at bot organized raids. Maybe its that kind of thinking that is a very good reason why you shouldn't be in a kt at all.

So yes I'm whining, and it's worked perfectly if I do say so myself, so thank you :)

maybe I expect more from soldiers because I am a soldier, maybe it's that whole "discipline" thing. I run 2 versions of dd at all the raids btw, im not dissing the tools as a useful way to collect info, rather the "tools" who try to use them as epeen, and yeah , they are tools btw...

It says a lot about them and how they do things in general. All show, not much else.

Actually those few DD whores are very useful in pvm (not mentioning any of you shark sols :p ). More dmg = more xp/sk/axp/lootrights etc. And it does say a lot about soldiers in general, that some are actually pushing their prof to the max, which is always good, and those who do whine, are simply jealous:p

Or 'hard enuff' as in harder than all the other 220's there who worked just as hard or usually harder and longer without feeling a need to try and undeservedly brag at the expense of others?

kill steal scenarios are not a part of this, though that seems to be a common problem among dumpers, they cannot seem to tell the difference in different situations. This is about dd dumps to chat btw...

If you od someone by 50,000 points over the course of a whole raid, you my friend have not really done anymore than anyone else to make a significant difference at all, nor has your clipfever or sb really done anything but lots of minor damage to anything. Posting your dump is equally useless.

What you have done though, is attempted to demean every single person in the raid force with you, which is nothing to be proud of.

I am a "DD Whore" as you put it, for 6 years now, and yes a SOLDIER is a great help in anything, so is a keeper or a shade or any other damage doer. But a SOLDIER after nothing more than self-gratification in a team effort raid, is a useless player in every way I can think of.

I cant speak for all soldiers, but I know how much effort I put into mine. If ur happy with ur mediocre soldier with his/her mediocre damage, more power to u. I judge my effectiveness against my PEERS. I recognize most of the top Omni/Neut DD'ers in RK1. These are my peers, and I judge how good a job I do, by how I stack against them. (This is where I point out that ALL toons in an HC raid have an EQUAL chance to 'power buff')

My toon is a soldier.....he doesnt tradeskill stuff, he doesnt heal or calm mobs. He KILLS sh*t. This is wat most (I thot ALL, but maybe not) soldiers do. U say u've been playing a soldier for 6 yrs? Hmmm.....ok, thats fine. Why in the world would u come into the SOLDIERS forum and tell those there that DD is BAD?? Damage Dumper provides a service...it allows RLs to see whos slackin in a raid, it lets ppl know how well they performed...ect. If u dont want to see how badly u performed in a raid, dont click the little blue text thingy. k? :D
