Remnants of the Xan (Prologue)

~The cloaked figure stared out towards Jobe Harbor, a young solitus female standing behind him~

At last he spoke, his voice echoing through the fabric of time and space with each word...

"Tell me, what have we learned today?"

The solitus was confident in herself and used to speaking with an otherwise intimidating individual such as this...

"The Mercutio Virus has been noted to have the following sym--"

"FOOL!" he shouted, "Spare me the trivial. Tell me only what I care to know."

Shaking for a moment, she at last brought herself to speak once more.

"...the virus is carried by the spirit."

~He looked over to the Harbor again, a grin was visible under his hood~

"And tell me...what does this mean?" he asked.

"...that the only hope to finding a complete cure is through Xan technology..."

~His grin widened~

"Exactly...and our ever-growing collection of Xan artifacts should prove useful to her, now shouldn't it? Go now to your sister. Be certain that she understands she is to monitor the grid carefully for advancements on the filter project, and to report all her observations to me...but return as quickly as you can, I expect the good doctor to arrive soon."

"Yes, Revered one..."

~As the solitus bowed back into the shadows, the cloaked figure peered out to the Harbor once again...his eyes burning a bright red...~
