Yup, yesterday he took down opfor's lowbie base. I won't post names, funcom should be able to find out who themselves.
Now he'll prolly get turned into a professional.

The sig was aimed more at FC and Cz... but yes, if we don't know what is intended, how do we know its working?Originally posted by Abunari
If we're never told how things are supposed to work, then how can anyone ever exploit? Publish your intentions FC, what's the plan?

Considering that most people bring their main or star characters to the battle, i think we should call it
War of the stars!

Cry-Baby Wars. People cant handle 3 or 4 guilds attacking their base when they only got 10 peeps in guild so they cry about level restrictions, crowd size, zoning in, etc., to FC. Get in an actual guild and then get a tower. Sound good?

The best is when they don't even read what the thread is about and then post their own whine.
A) Damn exploiters.. we lost our base due to cheating!
B) If you arn't in a big guild stfu
No doubt gets on the special buss everyday to commute to omni-1
Hmm. Deranged people with short attention spans. I wonder if we can get FC to make a Thorazine rifle ?Originally posted by Nessy

Personally I think FC is getting way ahead of themselves. It's almost like they didn't bother to check and make sure that *most* of the booster was working before deciding "Hey! we want money, let's just throw it out on the market now!"
Come on FC! I enjoy playing the game, but at least spend some time to make the game quality!

FC protects these darwinian reject guilds, but they won't protect the stronger guilds from ninja-looting. I sense a double standard. Maybe they think we should be able to take care of ourselves? Despite the fact we pay the same money
If anyone thinks loosing a Ql10 tower to a level 150 player is so bad they should try for once loosing their Gaily Painted Hood to a level 10!
Did it ever occur to you that that level 10 character is probably played by the same guy who plays the level 175 chump standing next to you in the box room?Originally posted by Nalissa

Regardless, this is way off-topic. A level 10 guy ninja-looting is using the ruleset to his advantage, but a level 155 enforcer who destroys a QL 50 tower is exploiting a bug in the system. Exploits is the topic...

If they make ninja-looting a bannable offense, it becomes an exploit of the loot-system. Whatever they declare as unfair becomes an exploit. It's that simple.
Previous to the last patch, attacking low towers was 'within the current ruleset'. I can only pray that they make ninja-looting illegal, so that slime ninja-looters will become exploiters by your definition.
I'm curious how you could possibly define this situation as being within the rules.Originally posted by Nalissa

Towers are attacked as if they were players of the equivalent level. A level 50 player is outside the PvP range of a level 155 player. If that level 155 player manages to find a way to attack a level 50 player, he has found a bug in the system. If he gains a benefit from that bug, he is exploiting.
This is nothing like the case of the level 10 ninja looter. In that case, the loot became 'open' to all after the minute (or so) time ran out. This isn't a bug in the system. But who cares about that? This is "Exploit Wars" and Omni is in the lead!

The fact is that Ninja-looting is griefing of the highest order. Griefing is considered to be bad. FC has a double-standard on this issue mainly because it is difficult to control. A similar issue was debated about for over a year before FC took action. That isseue was the ability of team-members to loot things while you were fighting. Now we have a loot message to keep everyone honest.
Seriously, i would be fully in favor of ninja-looting, chest-looting, uncontrolled PvP etc if this game were truly Anarchy. However, the fact is that you can train mobs on a team one minute, ninja-loot the next, and if you never leave a 75% zone you are perfectly safe to do so. Even worse, you can create ninja-looting characters who's sole purpose is to ninja-loot, thereby never paying the consequences of your actions, socially or otherwise. In essence, ninja-looting is too easy. When it is that easy to take the reward from a group that spent 2 hours trying to earn it you undermine the integrity of the game itself. That's the trouble. Honestly, it is things like this that drive me towards other games. No one wants to spend hours playing and come away with a splitting headache and a fealing of helplessness and frustration.
IMO ninja-looting is really only in an adolescent stage of popularity. Once more people realize how easy (and how anonamous and safe) it can be to do this we will have a horde of ninja-looters at every major kill. At that point people will most likely keep trying until they simply abandon the game for one they can compete fairly in. It is things like these that kill multiplayer games.
