    Protests in Brazil

I thought a while about posting it here or not but in the end I decided I want to share it with you all.

This all started last week, in one city, and like in Turkey, it began with a "petty" reason like 20 extra cents (9 cents in dollar and 7 in euro) on public transportation. It escalated pretty quickly to Protest Against Bad Public Transportation and later to Protest Against Bad Public Services (all of then are awfull) and Protest Against All Corruption (which is awful beonce anything you can imagine)

Those 20 cents were the last drop to make everything explodes. We are fed with the daily war that is public transport and we pay 3 whole bucks for it (just to put it in a picture: a) its 3 bucks every time we get into a bus/train not once a day like usually is in europe; b) our min Salary is 635 bucks); we are fed with the public health care where you need to wake up at 3am to have a chance to book a consult to make an examination 6 months later; we are fed with basic public education where highschool kids can't do basic math stuffs or comprehend what a text says; we are fed at police that does not defend the people neither keep things safe; and we are fed with all of the Cup costs that already ate double what was promissed and only half was already build. Ah, and our tax system that would make Nottingham's Xerif envy. I could say that the only public thing that works here is University, and I could only perceive it after I went abroad.

If you don't live under a rock, you probably already heard something about it, since there were some manifestations around the world on Sunday and some more are happening today. If you do: I'll share some news and vids with what happened last and what is happening right now.

Reporter tells how the Police brutality marked the latest protest - Big picture about first protests in São Paulo - english subtitles

100,000 line streets of Brazil to protest corruption
Brazil protests - share your stories - I managed to find some stories of ppl in these protests in english :3 Enjoy
Amidst massive protests, this is why Brazilians aren’t supporting the World Cup - While we are not really against World Cup and Olimpics here and such, it shows why we are so upset.
Berlin supports Brazil - Some pics from Berlin manifestation - portuguese and german (blame me, I'm in germany, so german for u!)

When are you due back there?

Also this sort of thing needs to kick off all over the place, most governments are corrupt and lawless, even in western civilisation where you'd think it wasn't the case. The problem is how complacent alot of Europeans are in terms of getting things shoved up dark places and letting governments get away with it.

But this is a touchy subject and could be classed as 'Political' and we all know where that leads around here.

Tip #743: As noted in Tip #244, tea bags have an infinite variety of uses. However, there's always one jerk who will want to give you crap over drinking tea. Particularly if in a new town, use this as an opportunity to assert yourself. Any drunken idiot can win a bar fight. It takes a real man to win a bar fight while enjoying a cup of Earl Grey.

I'm not trying to diminish or take away from any countries struggles against politicians that are !@#$!#$%^@##$bleepbleep#$!@#$!@#$!$@%^$. But in contrast to all this look at a country like Hungary were the corruption introduced by the current government is fully open and visible and even thrown in the faces of the public and basically people don't do crap, either they're living under serious fear, apathy has gotten the best of them, or they just don't give a ****. The Hungarians should be doing a Turkey everyday too. Since the government came into power over 600,000 people have left the country in a population of roughly 10 million and it keeps getting worse.

Most of them to neighbouring Serbia too, which isn't much better.

Btw, I somehow find funny when europeans also say they politicians are also openly corrupt as hell, always makes me feel like "hey, Brazil is not that bad at all" I also know how bad are the situation on east Europe (its sorta like Brazil, but w/o the public transport and health care problem)
Brazilians have two reasons to tell why they corruption are the worst of the world: 1) brazilians tends to talk really bad about Brazil and really good about US, while both have the same freaking problems (Europe is a special case, its a paradise, period. At least Germany is ;x); 2) our country started with corruption and corruption is the core of all our problems (side note for a funny case where a mayor bought enough toilet paper for 200 years x10 the average price). We have very few honest politicians and all of then either leave after first mandate or becomes corrupt as well. The best deputy of São Paulo was a clown (yea, literaly), the only one that worked every day (mostly just drop there once or twice a month) and the only that havent used all his wages. He is now out and said he will never come back, too much bad guys for him.

Actually, we are in a so funny state that our Humans Rights and Minorities Comission's Pres is an extremist evangelical who is against homosexuals, indians, blacks (no derrogative here, I just couldnt find a right word in english) and women. Dont ask. Doesnt makes sense.

Men ruling other men is not meant to be.

Maybe one day the real boss will come teach us a thing or two, and stay a while. 8p

Grats though, its good that people are standing up for their rights. This has to happen, its a price to be paid.

All it would take is for one side not to oppress the other and everything would be ok.

Once these things start happening though, the government is past the mindset of "Oh, ok...we can lower taxes to 5% and bring all our troops home and stop spending their money for them."

They are of the mind set of "We need to take their money, hold it, give it to their friends, then give em a little back when they are gasping for breath at the hospital and need a band aid.

Revolutionary War, Civil War, (Insert 100 other wars), WW1, (Insert more wars), WW2, (Insert more wars)....

We have only ourselves to blame.

I hope God hustles his bustle down here and fixes things for us, or we are gonna be in a world called "Hurth"

Here is an example of the worlds problems.

Chrysler agrees to recall of Jeeps at risk of fire
    Published June 18, 2013
    Associated Press
DETROIT – Chrysler says it has resolved its differences with the government and will recall older Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty SUVs that could be at risk of a fuel tank fire.
Earlier this month the company refused the government's request to recall the Jeeps. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration contended that the gas tanks could rupture if hit from the rear, causing fires. NHTSA said 51 people had died in fiery crashes.
But Chrysler says in a statement Tuesday that dealers will inspect the vehicles and upgrade the rear structure if needed to better handle low-speed crashes.
The company maintains that the vehicles aren't defective.
The government had asked Chrysler to recall 2.7 million Jeep Grand Cherokees from model years 1993 through 2004 and Jeep Libertys from 2002 through 2007

Government asks a company to recall 2.7 million vehicles because 51 people are killed in a crash that ruptured a gas tank.

Ok. Sorry for those people, but those accidents were not fender benders. And why does the entire nation now have to spend an extra $200 bucks for a better bumper (when the last one was alright until this stupidity passed).

    Common sense.

    People have it.

    Governments don't.

People that don't have it end up dead.

    Everyone wins.

    Cept those people. 8(

Also, they are solving this problem for 51 people (that are dead) 10-20 years later, (Most people only keep their cars for 5-10 years.) They already made sure of that with the "Cash for Clunkers" program.

And this will create a problem for 2.7 million people.

You just got me started on a trolling rampage now. 8( You made me hope this crap happens hear in the United States, and I feel like a worse person for it. 8(

Why...Why!? Must we be so derpy all our lives?
