I decided to lvl one of my tl5 nt upto tl7. I wold like to avoid sitting in inf for hours, waiting for a team that get me.

So my plans are:

1) doing some DR when i find teams.
2) Kiting mobs.

Once i'll hit 210 i'll go for inf teams and so.

My questions are about kiting areas:

About Pen catacombs spirits, what level are em? they are kitable? how much approx runspeed is needed?

Same for inf.

if you can kite ely heckl0rz you can kite anything in game IMO, ely hecklers are one of the hardest mobs to kite, I honestly think inf spirits are easier.

Agreed, after ely hecks i never had a problem with runspeed even at inf spirits...as already said, spirit kiting is more a case of keeping LoS and knowing the layout of the area, i find losing agg to be the biggest problem when it comes to spirits.

Another good spot in pen is the canyon north of The Pipe exit around the dryad ranger dyna, i know people that have dinged 200 off kiting these mobs alone, although i imagine XP is a bit slow beyond 190

Never tried pen spirits, but you are probably able to do inf ones.

Newer issues : they don't follow as well as in the past, pulling is harder, i was dividing spirit room in 2 or pulling all in a single kite before, now it should be either divided in 4 (1 pull per corridor) or 2 maybe. Spawn 9 or 10 min so try to fit in this metric.

Do it solo, like somefin you do while waiting for team, and solo xp is 2x the xp. Depending how bad/good the team is, solo kiting might be better xp then inf missions with leech all over the place. It is on-demand also so . . . And, even if, what you might lose in XP you win it in credits by looting novictums and selling em.

I m not exactly sure of my figures, need to go check and record xp/hour etc to be sure, will take you 30 min of kiting, versus one mish with DD soft running to estmate the level of the team, compare, /win.

Probably not very efficient on long term, but say you pass by and you got 20 min, pull the vast outdoor area NE from Sorrow clan stone, massive challenge here where you can pull 60/80 mobs and each of these can kill you in 3 hits. Super long to DD em all, but when they drop, it worth it the spot takes an hour to repop approx, just blast it and move on next activities.

Explore inf outdoor and kite em all, kiting is freedom

PS : Dark Ruins team version isn t great xp at all from what i saw, BUT there might be some kiting hax method possible to do in there : if you blitz the PF w/o killing mobs, apparently the Goddess will pop em all near her at some point. They are all melee, so kitable, but some stuns. Free mov stims maybe. Up to try it soon, pst.

Kiting DR can be fun if you havent done the solo mission. Since its instanced everytime you leave, the monsters will respawn if you havent done the solo mission yet. So all you need to do is kiting the little crawler things takes about a min or 2 for 2-3m xp, then run out and in.

i kited DR solo instance mobs (chimeras) , but xp sucks a bit.

I got better xp kiting pen demons, btw omw trying to kite pen/inf spirits.

It is still possible to kite half or more of the spirits at once, it just takes a bit more cleverness e.g. gathering the pull before moving into the next room to avoid losing agg and blinding/absorbs to prevent taking too much damage from them, i rarely kite anymore but i always manage to pull atleast half

Set up for Max % dmg, even those outdated AoE's pay off. I think the biggest problem would be the differences in hp, accidental boss agg, slow kill mobs, respawns and adds. this could be a good thing tho, in theory, with some practice, if you're not lazy you could keep a constant kite going, don't have to wait for teammates, get the solo XP gain benefit, have huge open areas, as long as you dont need to take a smoke break or take your eyes off the monitor. Since our calms work decent enough in SL, it's easy enough to be selective also; weeding out the bad while moving the kite so that you don't break the calms. Lots of no work matter what hehe.

yeah i imagine the lag when running BB, and VE/Kel nuking in inferno is not a nice thing with potential size of the kites in some areas.

Yeah but those mobs have really huge hp though and kels/VE barely scratches them :S it'd take quite a while and lots o patience to wear all that hp down heh

by that time ur fast enough to use LE AOE's
7k-9k dmg on those , wich easly odds Kel's , and was still getting lvls faster then Inf mishes since i CHOOSE when to lvl , no sitting on lft w8ting on someone to take pitty on a useless nt.

+u gain bonus Xp since ur solo ( awesome for research till line 7 )

yeah, hmm...I woulnd't even bother with LE aoe oO, like 2.5m range on each side of the target mob? yuk dude, just yuk! in that 2 sec cast cap, you could end up dead fast. the recharge is SUPER SUCK also, stick with ol' reliable imo.
