    LE Procs

Not many talked about this yet but if there’s something utterly unbalanced across professions it’s definitely LE procs. So my idea was to revamp all procs from all professions. It’s unlikely to happen due to FC’s reluctance to big changes but I had some free time so..

So here’s the idea. Procs should open an opportunity to change the course of the battle. An opportunity, I insist, not ending the fight as some procs seem to do atm. We keep the type 1 and type 2 procs but instead of randomly affect them to their different actions we’ll have type 1 for defensive actions (green) and type 2 for offensive ones (red). Colors don’t matter, it was just to accentuate the change. I like the idea of the color to quickly identify the type of the proc but it would be better to also have some kind of icon inside the current one (a cross for heals/hots, legs for evades, etc).

Another change I’d like to see is the removal of procs having the same effect but scaled up. I propose a scaling depending on level or % based of a skill.
I’d reintroduce the proc-on-being-hit/nuked idea to other profs than NTs. It makes more sense to me to get healed when being struck than when hitting. Also for NTs, I’m still undecided about letting them have procs working on nukes. Why? Because it would mean they could proc on dots, perk actions or even on themselves. But only having defensive procs suck too. I see 2 suggestions. First, allow them to proc on nukes but with a lower chance. Second, allow cyberdeck to do some low damage (like 100), 1/1 with a decent range.

Anyway here are some examples. Sorry for profs I left out, was kinda tired of it after some time and, please, don’t focus too much on numbers..

If they remake them that'd be the perfect time to fill in their descriptions properly

I'm seeing a fair few "When struck" procs which I'm not to fond of. The idea of having to get my face punched just so I can fight back seems a bit, backwards.

Interesting, I like the idea of proc scaling, and having all procs do different things, so they all can be of use as soon as you get them, and not get outdated a couple researches later.

I don't think triggering the proc on self would work. It used to be that nuking oneself could trigger the defensive procs, but it has been changed. So it could be the same for on hit proc. I don't think procs can trigger with DoTs anymore either. It used to be, but has been nerfed too (was particularly fun for shades while it last though).

For your first suggestion, lower chance does not seem fair. Due to what i have said previously, and that an NT will deal less hits that other profs.

For the second suggestion.. the procs rather be good then, since taking reflect/damageshield just in hope of triggering a proc...

About an offensive proc, while a nuke would be fun, the result on a low hp prof if triggered by a triple could be rather... fun on forums.

For the 'when struck' procs, i don't know if the game remember who hit you. All current defensive procs i can think of are self buffs, and don't affect the source of damage. It does not matter for an AoE that can be centered on you, but the root proc on attacker might not possible.

If someone disagrees with you, he is obviously trolling, flamming, or a stupid n00b.

Enforcer's reward from pen Xan quest is a damage shield which has a taunt proc so it should work.

I like your NT proc ideas, but I think the 10% of level reflect should be much smaller.

At 220, that's a 22% reflect stacked with the 25% reflect from Shelter or more than 100% reflect stacked with NBG. The current 10% proc already makes a bit of a difference under fire.

For the NT ones if FC can't make the action work while not being exploited (nuking self for proc effects, etc) your idea of a good range good AR tiny hit from the deck is rather clever. Even if it only hit for 1-10 points of damage and rarely missed (50% NR check?) with a smaller chance to proc than the other stuff that currently procs on landing a hit so that procs aren't firing like crazy from never missing.

My main beef at least with the NT procs, is so many of the good ones are all in the same line with only one or two good ones in the other line which makes a lot of them only any good for duels against certain people (+hp +nr is better vs a doc than +reflect etc).

    Hey, you forgot abt

    Bureaucrat:
    Code:
    Type1 Type 2
    - On hit:	8s stun - On hit: 15s stun
    k ?

On the serious side tho, procs could use a revamp, especially NT ones with their mechanics and probably some means of offensive proc defense (eg removals ).

    Yeah forgot about NBG :P

It's the same for some other profs. Well when they have useful procs. Not having any proc unless you are tanking is a strong issue imho. I'm not thinking about PvP where it could be ok but in PvE, unless you are soloing or helping noobs it's like you do'nt have any proc. And even if they fire on some AoE hit from mobs (do they?), none of them really help on any role NTs can fill.

Actually I almost added some stun procs but I knew players would hate it. They could be nice on a 'when struck' action and with a very short duration

Removals shouldn't be needed if procs aren't as powerful as some are now and with a short duration.

I'm not entirely sure why I'd need a type 2 to run unless someone was beating on me
