Maybe 'cause it's more relevant to mention current players than has-beens?

Old PvP "legends" only became "legends" because the PvP community was so small that they had to keep mentioning each other, and with people reading forums enough the names just stuck...

And I agree that obtrus and tia working together was pretty sick, though I think there were several better agents than ob.

And as far as twinks go, infinity all the way. He obsessed over his MA to the point of madness--not only was his equipment nearly perfect, he had an uncanny feel for timing on his MA.

bahh, how could I forget glopp. He demeaned so many good clan pvpers to tears using his SB+alpha combo. Good times, good times. I meant to mention Soety as well, I just couldn't come up with the right name for some reason. He always impressed me so much because he was able to use disharmony even back when it was a serious nerf in pvp because of reflects, and he still did exceptionally well.
