a question to clanners?

while studying the odd effects that simple furniture has on my pets navigation abilites i got to thinking have the majority of clanners out there thought out what they will do once they remove "the omni scum" from rubi-ka?It seems to me that the other corparations are the same if not worse.This is a large concern for me as i am a nanomage and dependt on rubi-ka's notum rich enviiorment. Given the history of corprate behavior suggests that they would decend on rubi-ka like a school of piranha.With no strong central body to deal with all i can picture is it quuickly spiraling into a fuedal state of diffrent corprate backed clans battling it out without care or concern to the planets well being.

I'm glad that you are finally starting to understand why a war between Omni-Tek and the Clans is not in both our best interests. Omni-Tek have auctually been the force to help keep the clans more or less united instead of fighting each other and Omni-Tek is the main reason the other corporations haven't descended on Rubi-Ka like a pack of wolves.

Remember, the Clans and Omni-Tek once joined together to help oust Sol Banking Corp. Omni-Tek is the least of your worries if we do decide to pull up shop and leave.

It would indeed be a great shame if Omni-Tek did pull out of RK. Apart from the obvious reasons already stated by your goodselves, it would take me a very long time to once again set up my network of informants and suppliers of illicit materials / weapons from OT databases and stores!

I totally agree with you soulnoir, Charles and Daluke2. Most clanners I have meet have no idea why they fight, they are rebels without a cause. They can not or will not see that the future will be much worse if Omni-Tek is not in it.

I would direct you to my my earlier post asking the people of the clans why they fight against Omni-Tek, as you can guess, not one clanner answered me properly.

Be rest assured, i for one do not wish war between us and not just for the reason i mentioned earlier.

One saying always springs to mind.... 'Better the Devil you know'..... (apparently it was also a song, many thousands of years ago) and i think this applies for Clan, Omni and Neutral.

Clan wishes freedom and independence. OT wishes for higher profits and order amongst the chaos. Neutral... well i dont know.... peace obviously i assume.

I have no personal gripe towards OT.... i make a fine and steady 'business' from them. Some of them are shall we say..... 'friends', particularly during the Amnesty. I find it truly disconcerting however when, on my travels, i observe OT AND Clan hurling petty abuse at each other. This does nothing but arouse further anger and hostility where it is not needed. If some wish to express that anger, let them meet in an Arena.

I had to laugh yesterday, but i want to share this amusing moment. I was in VW heartlands with my Warbot, armed to the teeth with bot in Guard mode. Suddenly a very young OT soldier, solitus i believe, appears from nowhere...... he approaches tentatively.... i scanned him and he was lvl 27. His first words????

"Hi, i'm Omni-Tek, but don't worry i won't hurt you." I could not help but silently giggle underneath my helmet. We chatted a moment and then i asked, "What are you doing so far out here"?
His answer? "I'm lost, can you please help me back to a Neutral City"?

Needless to say we teamed and i escorted him on foot back to NLC grid point. I watched him Grid and a fellow Clansman made a comment about teaming with an OT member. I ginored him and carried on about my business, thinking about how pleased my older brother would be. My brother being an OT Engineer!

So, he learned a small lesson.... not all Clanners are bad, just as i know not all OT are bad either.

We co-exist, we are to some point, in reality, also co-dependent.

I must agree that the war has taken it's tole on both the clan and OT members in a harsh way. Out of curiosity, what would happen if the insurance and the reclaim systems were removed? Would the war continue on in it's bloody ways or would peace be brought?
