The South Rubi-Ka Society is an organisation loosely modelled on Old Earth's Rotary International or the Lions Club. That is to say it is a civillian association based on the principles of good fellowship and civic duty. Typically our members are prominent businessmen and professionals from Rome or Omni-1 moved by a sense of civic duty to give something back to the community. Others join to enhance their social life, make business contacts or, occasionally, to make up for a less than pristine past.
The Society's activities consist primarily of organising a range of cultural, educational and fundraising events. We also run a number of community related projects to help the least fortunate sections of the population. We are not a para-military or politcal association, though we of course abide by Omni-Tek laws.

The South Rubi-Ka Society is an Omni-Tek roleplaying guild on Rubi-Ka 1. Our aim is to provide a sustained roleplaying environment for our members and be of service to the AO roleplaying community in general. The series of events around the concept of "Leet Fighting" and the recent Roleplayer's Conference are perhaps the two more visible projects we ( with a lot of help from our friends) have been involved in to date.
But we are a small guild, and these projects take a lot of time and effort to put together. In order to stage more frequent and better roleplaying events in the future we are looking for a few friendly, creative, roleplayers to join our ranks.
So whether you are a roleplayer looking more ways to express yourself beyond hunting, parties and Omni-Clan rhetoric, or table-top GM looking for a team to help translate his or her ideas into action, I hope you will consider the South Rubi-Ka Society.
