Auction ??

I've been using the shopbot to help me buy things and have bid on acouple of items and I'm wondering how long the auctions last. Are they timed or does the person that started the auction end it when it reaches a price that they like.

Ex: I bid 1000 creds on a viper staff; I know that is way way under what it is worth but noone else has bid for the last couple of days, should I bid against myself so the person will end it or will it just end after a given time?

The person has to end the auction. You might try sending them a tell.
