Dear Res,

I've heard that any Omni-Tek employee that gets caught working with a Clanner will automatically lose their jobs. Is this true?

Signed,

Loyal Employee Rome Green

Dear Loyal Omni-Tekker,

Your question is a very good one.

To answer your question, it depends on what you do.

Under the Omni-Tek Employee Code of Regulations and Conduct for Rubi-Ka (OTECRCRK) section 183-A-78-c16, "mere association" with a group with "criminal, subversive, or questionable" backgrounds is insufficient to have your corporate citizenship revoked.

"Mere association" can include socializing at a nightclub, travelling
together to a common destination, or the legal trade of personal use items.

In addition, under Omni-Tek Rubi-Ka Guidelines to Self-Protection and Defense (OTRKGSPD) section 17-a-31b, the "use of force for the common defense" is valid against the flora and fauna of Rubi-Ka. So, for example, suppose you and a member of the Clans are attacked by a group of howlers. Under this section, you and the Clan member may cooperate for mutual self-protection to fend off those howlers.

However, you can lose your corporate citizenship if you do more than just socialize or cooperate with a member of the Clan. Under the Omni-Tek Rubi-Ka Omni-Pol Code of Crimes and Penalties (OTRKOPCCP), "conspiring to, aiding and abetting to, materially supporting to, or committing an act to destroy corporate property, harm corporate personnel, deprive or remove improperly corporate property, temporarily or permanently, vandalize corporate property, embezzle corporate property, etc..." is grounds for
criminal prosecution which may include the penalties of loss of corporate citizenship or permanent death.

Thus, Loyal Employee, you should feel free to assist any misfortunate Clan member and take the opportunity to convince them to join or return to Omni-Tek. Doing this is not grounds for losing your job or your corporate citizenship.

However, if you suspect any Omni-Tek employee collaborating to harm the corporation in any way (from the relaying of confidential corporate information to smuggling corporate property to worse) notify Omni-Pol immediately. The sooner Omni-Tek intervenes, the sooner Omni-Reform can help and rehabilitate the delinquent employee.

If you have do any of these two things, Loyal Employee, you should be commended.
