    Alien Invasion Order Update

    Hello,

    Thank you to all who have preordered and who continue to order . The vast majority of orders have been received without problems and we are very grateful for this. We are aware of a few issues and have taken the following steps to alleviate any concerns. While these issues have affected only a small fraction of customers..we wanted to update you all.

    1. Ebgames was issued more keys after they sold out of initial stock and also was issued keys to handle their very few orders that encountered shipping difficulties to allow those customers to log in today. They are working with individuals who did not receive keys due to spam filters on some free mail accounts.

    2. Gamestop was issued more preorder keys to fulfill orders on their request.

    3. Play.Com is issuing preorder keys.

    4. Funcom's ASKNET store has ended the preorder campaign (today 1 Sept. 2004) and is issuing downloadable keys to those who ordered before the preorder deadline and who will not receive the game box in time for today's launch.

    5. Funcom's ASKNET store has placed a notice for those that ordered after the preorder deadline that the U.S/Canada warehouse is sold out of AI and that orders placed now will not be shipped until approximately 13 Sept as another batch is being built.

    6. We are working with partners in Russia, Germany and Norway who have sold out .

    7. To handle the massive demand, we will offer downloadable sales versions of AI on our website and through two partners beginning today. More info to come soon.

    8. The vast majority of retailers still have available in store stock--please contact your local retailer for in store pick up orders.

    Funcom would like to inform that our Norwegian pre-order distribution partner Spiderman has sent out all pre-ordered retail boxes of Alien Invasion on monday. The boxes should be with all customers shortly. The reason why they weren't able to ship boxes friday last week was a hold up of all the products in the Norwegian customs. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    ***Add on message.. as of this moment.. all issues regarding preorders that have hit my mail box have been responded to. If you still have not been assisted or received an email response (and you've checked spam filters), please send another mail. I'm heading out to Dragoncon in a few hours and will help all I can until then and if there's any more will get them as soon as possible. Thank you all for the nice emails and patience today! Please do not mail support with these issues as it just delays an answer and clogs their queue. Please do include your accnt name and preorder key with correspondence*** (2: 11 am. EST Thurs).
