a reason for funcom's lack of communication

know why we don't seem to get much response from Funcom lately?
Funcom has recently been moving resources (money, equipment, staff etc) to another online game being developed: "Midgard".
I get the feeling that is where some of the AO staff are going... (explains the slow progress of the patch)
I must warn you that I fight very dirty, I spit and fart and soil myself

    Me

"Sings we a dances of Wolves
Who smells fear and slays the coward

Sings we a dances of Mans
Who smells Gold and slays his brother"

    Hmm

Your not paying close attention to the news are?

Midgard was cancelled [delayed indefinately] and all staff was sent to AO and extensive furloughs [temporary layoffs] were also issued. Funcom is struggling to stay alive and keep AO afloat, I
suspect this has their full attention.

this game is 6 month old

    Age

Well the game was publically released for purchase in June, so yes I guess as of now it is 6 months old. It had been in beta for over a year I believe.

AO is mainly "in trouble" because of the bad launch and more importantly a series of bad patches over the summer pushes alot of people to leave. Especially when DaOC came out.

The good news is some of the originals are coming back and
Funcoms free trial is bringing in a stream of new players. Since
the game is far more stable [for most of us] than it was in
June, its likely many of these newcomers will stay.

Now as for Funcom's real reasons for a fair amount of silence,
who can say for sure. They have had things to say the last
week or 2 so not really fair to say their not talking, there just
not talking as much as we would like.

Actually, as Avatarius said, resources have been moved from Midgard to Anarchy Online. This is the numero uno focus for us.

Well do you think that if it is "Numero Uno" That you'll be able to post more than 5-7 times a day? And finally tell us when 13.6 will post? or how about defining when "Reeeaaalll Soon" is exactly?
