Here's an idea.. when you send out the free cd, send the updated version of the game. I chose the cd option because it would take me forever to download the game on dial-up. BUT even thought I got the cd, I still have to spend a few hours, maybe even a couple of days downloading updates.. I hate updates, but yet, I love them.

bad connection sucks. I had that long time ago, and tried go other places, like library or school to download updates faster fom there. Friends are also useful if they got a better connection.

All patches can be found here, and there is usually one that update from your cd version to current version on servers:
