Ok time we do something other than missions or twinking for a change.

One week from now Ill start "The race"

Basics: Use a lvl 2 character (not lower, not higher) and try to be the first one to reach me on the beach in Andromeda, way north in the Andromeda-zone. On the way ull have to dodge all kinds of mobs and u must do ure best to stay alive. First one to reach me and open trade get the assigned reward.

Rules:

1. U must use a lvl 2 character. Not higher, not lower.
2. U are not allowed to have any outside buffs on.
3. U are not allowed to team with any person higher than lvl 2.
4. U are allowed to save at any point u can on ure way to me.
5. U are not allowed to use any transportvehicle of any kind.
6. We will start the race in Newland, that way all 3 sides can join in. This means that if ure running into a 25% or 0% zone u ARE allowed to kill other opponents.

Reward for reaching me first and opening trade: 10 Mil credits + One nice secret item.

There is no fee for entering. U just have to register ure chars name with me before start. not via tell but in person so there is no cheating.

Though, a personal thought- maybe you should establish a 'checkpoint' if there's a save terminal halfway between the two points. With the level 70-80ish mobs in Andromeda, I think it's a little harsh

If we die, are we allowed to restart from the start line, or are we disqualified?

...and can we twink up? ;D (MMMmmm, runspeed implants.)

*trader puts in comp lit implants*

*uses thedeacon to buff said trader with mochams and comp lit expertise*

*trader casts frequent customer and puts in an even bigger belt and ncu*

*trader gets feline grace, essence, ic and a couple of cushions to put in bigger agility implants and nanoskills implants*

*thedeacon buffs trader with more mochams*

*trader lures bigger trader into the shop for a 132 wrangle*

*trader quickly casts a +160 comp lit buff, removes nanoskills implants, pops in comp lit implants and puts in even larger ncu until he has something obscene like 189 ncu*

*trader gets more agility and treatment to pop in a couple run speed wrist implants*

*trader gets gridspace freedom, velocity, quickness and free movement, all of which stack, for a total of about 1050 run speed....at level 2. Just in case, he also gets essence and a HOT for a bit more hp*

Trader wins.

So tell me, is the prize a date with wrangeline? If so, I am totally going to do this, as it would totally be worth the cost and time

Ure a bit to late Im afraid. I was supposed to do this today since I had alot of sparetime. However I had only 4 people signed up so I desided to wait a littelbit before trying again.

Ill try and make it happen but I cant garantie anything atm

Also, I'd suggest making in an In-Character(TM) event and post it on the RP boards. Trust me, you'll get plenty of people that way. Tons of gimps in the RP department that would love to do this, I'd bet. (me included)

How are you going to enforce this - if you can't how are you going to prevent beacon warping?

The only way I can imagine enforcing this is to have each participant teamed with a trusted helper - or another randomly chosen participant for the duration of the race.
