“Blue Midnight Moon”
by Sun "Poetica" Catt
It’s the blue hour
Just past midnight
The ghost hour
The air is fresh
Clean and crisp
Cool with a breeze
I’m sitting
In my open windows post
Looking outside
Gazing at the blue moon
On the infinite
Midnight sky
Stars shattered
Like lights from housings
From distant dwellings
I’m tired and my body aching
Yet I can’t sleep
My heart is restless
It keeps me from sleeping
Alone in my cold bed
So I sit here
In my open windows post
Looking outside
Gazing at the blue moon
Where the air is fresh
Clean and crisp
Cool with a breeze
Like a hand touching
My cheeks…
Like a hand stroking
My hair…
Wishing…
Wishing for a calm heart…
Wishing upon a blue moon…
