Thread: Why can't I promote more Boardmembers?

Why can't I promote more Boardmembers?

Is it a bug or a feature... and what exactly determines how many BMs one can have? Size of guild or number of exes?
We have 214 Members, and 9 Boardmembers, I wanted to have 12, but couldn't promote more than 10.
Afterwards I got a strange error-message: You have to demote an *EXECUTIVE* first before being able to promote...
Which makes a) no sense and b) isn't even correct, cuz I tested and demoted an exe and still couldn't get more BMs.

So what is wrong, does anyone know? Or is it dependent on the number of exes? So that actually we'd need *more* exes?
    I hope someone knows....

    *Bump*
Is there any possibility for an official answer?
Just *how* the system works? Thanks.

If you want a guild type with unlimited "second tier" people, you have to use department or feudalism. The others are limited to a max of 10.

Department has 2 more ranks (pres/gen/SC/UC/UL/UM/app) feudalism has 1 less. (lord/knight/vassal/peasant)
mercatura -ae f. [trade, traffic; merchandise]

Moved off-world and found real tradeskills...along with many other things
