Problems logging in?

I cant log in atm. I press the login button and it says:

Checking for patch..
Preparing data .................................................. .
.................................................. .................................................. .............................................. Timeout!

This happens everytime. I have rebooted and what have u..

Anyone else got this problem?

I've had this problem happen to me many times and everytime it's been caused by a problem with my ISP....
Sometimes my connection will slow down so much that the "preparing data" bar move so slow that the timer on the log in runs outs..making me time out.

Sometimes I have this problem persist for as long as a half hour, and it's normally, when happens, an occurance during peak hours of internet users.
