That is exactly what Funcom is doing, I am 14 years old and have an IQ of 139, and I know that Funcom would fall like a stone if they had an opposite advertising technique. Funcom has done an excellent job of advertisement and have picked up more customers than anyone else would, don’t blame them for making a profit.

Looks like this thread has had an influence! I saw the "I've got implants baby!" Ad on fileplanet just now, and after the sexy chick it had some perveted lookin guy, and it said "That's cybernetic implants, pig!"

Well son you should go far since you admire ruthlessness above everything else. But one word of advice....stop telling people what your IQ is. It just makes you look insecure.

As for ruthlessness, well that irritates me that kind of attitude does. Ruthlessness = self-centred/selfish. Maybe one day he will understand the value of higher principles?

This whole thread is a perfect example of how horribly screwed up the Political Correctness movement has gotten. All this tip toeing around to make sure you don't trample anyone's feelings is doing nothing but make it easier to hurt people's feelings by making them even more sensative! Say what you want to say, accept whatever flack it might bring back at you and move on. If you are offended, suck it up and move on, there are far greater things you can be doing rather than working yourself into a furious outrage over a banner add for a computer game, or whatever else is out there. The world is a cruel place filled with idiotic people, there is no way to please them all, so work on making your life enjoyable and get on with life.

People are getting too weak these days, there's no such thing as fortitude anymore. People's skins are turning into paper. Wasn't there a time in mankind's life when strength and perseverence were good traits? I mean, you didn't see Ceasar sniffling in a dark corner if someone called him gay. At least it wasn't recorded by historians.

I loved the ads and thought it was a bold, funny move by FC to publish them. For that I give them more respect than the other game companies.

Actually, I don't think things like this bother people as much as they sometimes let on. I just think its a way for them to feel morally superiour to others.

"Hey everyone, can't you see how KIND and CARING I am? I'm SO understanding and accepting! Why, you're just a callous, unsophisticated, hate mongering bigot if you don't agree with me!".

I have nothing against gay people at all personally, but jeez, all this crap is getting out of hand these days... thanks to the press, campus facilty and hollywood elite IMO.

Hmmm. Homosexuals comandeered the word "gay" out of it's English meaning (happy) and are now upset that others have comandeered it to mean lame. These are both just corruptions of the "real" word and aren't necessarily synominous - are they?

Psyphen a large percentage of heterosexual males are so damn scared that someone will think they're gay that they don't even want to think about what may be offensive to homosexuals or not.

Men who would be outraged at the expression of racism become strangely mute when it comes to gay bashing because they're afraid that if they object people might think THEY were *gasp* homosexual as well.

It's sad but true and that's why I've realized that it's pointless to even keep discussing it with them. Until they lose the fear they're just not going to listen.

You're right Laeni. But I still had to make one attempt in the hopes it'd make someone reflect on how they've been illrationally acting and change their ways. I learned from growing up and maturing. Perhaps that's all they need. /shrug
