So dont kill it, calm it if theres a calmer, or kill the mob fast enough.
Once the owner of the pet is dead the pets stops attacking, as longa s you dont attack it you'll be just fine.
But yes, I too think either pets should give XP or not be counted in the loot cycle.
It's also a problem when you have someone in your group who is summoning pets.
It's mildly annoying when you're next up in the loot cycle, and you get to pick over a dead meatball instead of that mob carrying credits/items.

Team missions = XP
Solo missions = Loot/rewards
I'd like to see every single chest removed from team missions, and encourage every team to use loot: leader, so you dont have all the frigging ninjas.
