They're needed to build nano programs out of the instruction discs.
You wont get much money for just the rocks, maybe some lazy nano program builder would like to give you some credits for them.

Thanks for the quick response. If I may ask another question, I also recently aquired a "hot stone". I know that cold stones are valuable but I've never heard of any use for hot stones. Thanks.
Dont think they have a use yet, may be worth keeping hold if them though just in case
