    nah... any time we set up a system where we have X-killer items... there's a problem. thats a situation of less strategy in PvP... which we already had too much of. right now, if there's a fixer in GA on the field, there is one solution... NT hits the anti-GA nuke. no variation based on skill breakdown and character choices... no maneuvering... nothing.

    what i really want to know is why NTs would suddenly want to kill fixers at all? fixer/NT make one of the best teams in the game... the snare/AE nuke combo... our HE's to feed their HoT use... their NCU buff to allow us to have enough ncu to use everything we need... etc.

    i tell u why we got new ga fixer nuke

    its cuz alot of ppl cryin ga is overpowered and alot of ppl are beggin for nt love (which i personally promote) so funcom says lets do some kinda compromise lets give the nts some ga kryponite and see what the response is

    i personally think that funcom ppl have a complete lack of vision

    but i do think that nts should have nano lines which can monopolize on a specific professions weakness not so overpowered that it will make ppl cry nerf but just to where we can even the play feild a little

    every other profession monopolizes on ours which is just attack us and we usually die fairly quick the damage is just plain stupid pvp is spose to last long these days i fought a enf with my nt and its flurry brawl crit hit hit hit brawl dead

    where as i got off 2 small nukes that did nada to enf

    was tryin to root but i got pummeled as his attacks speed was tremendous with this flurry

    Question Hmmm...

    It seems Fun Com prefered to put another unbalanced item in the game to balance another (gues which ones I meen )

    Not the best approach to solve problems if you ask me...

    Anyway Happy X-Mas Everyone and lets hope for a nt fix *very soon*.

    Negative hamfisted scattershot posts will get no positive feedback. Imagine a customer coming into where you work and saying "you suck, your never gonna make your company any good and as soon as that other company opens up I'm gonna go there so stop lying I hate you" Would this make you listen to their particular grievance.

    I think Cz and the devs see a post that starts with "funcom is teh sux and I hate you and I can't kill everyone in pvp and and and..." Upon seeing this they activate Forum NS X and go on to the next post. wich is the same thing. and the next, which is the same thing. I would vote for a complete forum purge and for all non constructive non articulate posts to be deleted immediately. Negativity breeds negativity.

    I would also like official forums to be unviewable by non-members. Anyone considering playing this game would see all the 911 calls for a whambulance and go play AC2 or some other garbage.

    he's right to some extent. if you want to point out problems, there are constructive ways to do it. look at the sheer numbers of people who say "if you don't fix X, I'm cancelling my account" ... fine. let them.

    as someone who has been a programmer/designer (though never on this scale) ... i have always been willing to work to implement fun and useful features to a game... even more so when the players understood enough about what they were talking about to make calm rational suggestions... and point out "balanced" ways to include them in the existing system without disrupting the existing game.

    and i tended to become defensive when people were insanely negative... i knew i was doing it... but that didn't matter... it bothered me terribly... sometimes simply because i felt guilty that people weren't having fun with what i was creating... but you cannot ever please everyone. FC's designers/programers are people. most likely, they're people very much like us... very few programmers/designers for games come from outside the world of gamers... if you present calm, rational and constructive suggestions... they do listen. If you are negative... you cannot expect them to like you or want to deal with you.

    i have see evidence of that in the game in the year I've played. like many NTs, I really wish they'd turn us into the creature that we are described to be... and it frustrates me that we have been told it will be done... and it hasn't. but, i appreciate the reminder that we shouldn't become bitter and full of hate over the matter. if we don't enjoy what we're doing, we should play another character... or move on to a new game. simple enough.

    and we should never ever ever resort to saying to someone that because they are not an NT they don't know what we have to deal with. it is not us vs. them... and we should never be the ones to make it that way. especially because we (and everyone else) rely on other professions to survive and progress... if we make them hate us... how long do you think we'll survive?

    thats probably one of the main reasons I personally agree with the fixers that we should nerf the anti-GA nukes. I don't want to have fixers hate me... i like fixers and i like how NTs and fixers can work together.

    My main is Ampedout, 140 nt.

    My post was not directed at anyone in particular.

    Lighten up.

    I wan't the NT fix as much as anyone and I think they would have done it by now if they could. But think about this, we play probably the most complex character type in the game. It will take longer to restructure our nuke system and whatever else it'll take to fix us than it did for other classes. So, unless you just want a few more uber nukes that drop off of aces camp boss mobs or something have a bit more patience.

    I wholeheartedly agree that we should be provided with some form of communication on the issue. Reguardless of the inevitable gigabytes of negative feedback ANY possible addition to the game will recieve.

    and if so u do notice that u are outdamaged by ever other profession when we should outdamage every profession seeing as we are the most fragile profession in the game


    least hp should equal most damage

    did u also see the part in there where it says most amount of damage in shortest period of time total lie all lies i tell u

    you are an ma ive played ma i love it mas own all in pvm damage

    way it should be damage output from greatest to least

    Maybe NTs should do most dmg.
    But only of the profs with range.

    Melee classes should allways do most dmg, cause they need to get close to do dmg.

    I have fought a NT before, where I didnt land 1 punch.
    Yes, I was unexperienced (not very experienced yet )

    What if NTs do most dmg, and I mean pvp.
    With Nullity they would be too uber I think.

    First off Nullity Sphere is not a balance nano - just a bonus - only a small % of the NT population get. (iven Devs stated that)

    Secondly meele classes have great deffence / offense abilites which the NT dosent have and thatway this class should be the best damage dealer. (fragile glass cannon)

    The Nano Technician was designed to have *very good* range and damage to kill the oponent before he could get to the NT, with the 40 m range cap half of the NT nano-range extending nanos have been made useless. Also our DD nanos have a resist check over 100% which completly nullifies our main damage source.

    How would you like if your fists had a nano cost and recharge time of 4 sec. and get resisted 99% of the time (which happens very often now due to ppl raising nano resist and uber resist mobs).

    There are more *concerns* at the NT board... you can take a look before you post again

    by description, and by function, nt should be the highest damage-dealer... period. they should be the binary opposite of the enforcer (who should really do less damage than he does now, but it's hard to take something away from a profession) this is for team work, and it only makes sense.

    why not simply up the damage of all existing nt nanos? if this would overbalance them in pvp, then make body dev blue-er. i actually don't understand why it's hard to implement this (i'm sure it must be or it would have been done by now...) i'm probably woefully unaware of some important issue, but i'm willing to be enlightened...

    NT body dev is already pretty far into the deep blue range. And of course, those of us who follow the breed/profession combination of nanomage + NT will be more than eager to tell you... its not a lot of hps. our evades are similarly difficult to raise... as are weapons other than pistol (and even pistol isn't easy).

    This is why an NT patch has been delayed so long. Most other professions are not aware of the IP cost or the machinations involved in an NT equipping the weapons they have. All they see is that NTs are using the same weapons (X-3, generally) as everyone else and they're getting to do nuke damage on top of huge AS hits and crits.

    This is true at the top end of the game... where an NT can dump massive amounts of IP into boosting those weapon skills and move implants away from nano skills and attributes that were critical lower in the game. And because it can be done... there is the general assumption that the NT is able to do the same weapon damage as every other profession plus their nuke damage. Ultimately, this just isn't true for the vast majority of NTs.

    We're asking for a patch because our profession is designed to sacrifice normal offensive and defensive ability... and die quickly... in exchange for high direct damage output. NTs wear weapons because nukes by themselves suck for damage output, I very very commonly watch nearly everyone in my team crit (and sometimes just do normal weapon damage) for more damage than my nukes and my nukes are many seconds apart... an NT with an ql200 X-3 probably does more with damage in just the AS portion of combat with a single mob than with nukes.

    One of the most important features of the patch that we are anticipating is a device that the NT wears that allows access to better nukes but prevents the NT from using any weapons. By cutting out the ability of twinked NTs and top end NTs from working around our problems, the balance between our type of damage and that of the weapon and melee damage dealers should remain stable.

    As to the comments about nullity... at best, with NS2... you have an NT who is stuck in one place invulnerable to you for 19 secs. During that time, they have 13 secs (its 14/8 for ns1) with which to nuke you... simple strategy says you use those first 6 seconds after the nt puts up nullity (its plainly visible) to break any root the nt may have put you in and to run away. Once nullity drops... return to thrashing the NT... they can't put it up again for about a minute. If you don't manage to kill them in that time... repeat the actions of the first time.

    i realize that. i actually meant to say that if the nanos damage being increased would overballance it. if we say that nt's are already sufficiently weak, then there it is. upping their damage will be fine alone. however, i like this idea best of all:

    the crystals do this, to a very, very small extent... but a device that worked like one of the crystals but did almost no damage and significantly improved the nt's nano ability or raw damage would be spectacular. however, it shoud NOT be some rare item, but something that can be purchased in shops or at least something that comes in multiple ql's so that lower levels can get it off mobs or out of missions.

    in my opinion the greatest NT weapon is and should always be his BRAIN which is kinda the point of being an NT

    if u want to use a x-3 be an agent
    if u want to use a smg be a fixer
    if u want to use a blunt object be an enf
    etc....

    if u want to use your mind to manipulate cast times and control hordes of nanobots to blow up anything and everything u want an NT

    even the the previous statement doesnt portray todays NT it should as we should do more damage than any other class because we are the most fragile

    id like to be able to kill the mob with root-nuke tactics but the nuke part just doesnt work to well

    damage should be doubled in my opinion

    Are you playing the same game? or just very poorly built?
    NT's tend to dish out the most damage in PVM in the teams im in.
    Maybe im just lucky to see the best of your class.
