    Evade, Dodge, Duck ?

Sorry anyone can explain me what skill I need to raise ?

1 ) In some site, someone tell me that with my enf I need to raise only Evade skill.

Someone said that with my agent I need to raise only dodge .

Someone said that I need to raise always all 3 skill dodge evade duck ecc.

2 ) I have MA that use Bow, what skill i need to raise ? Dodge or evade ?

    thanks

    It depends.

Well it doesn't depend on what YOUR attack is, but rather what the attack of your opponent is.
If you are fighting melee people, then evade is a must.
mostly ranged, and you need dodge.
If you are fighting grenades or shotguns, then duck is a must.
Personally I try to keep all of mine high because I never know who or what I'm up against.

    When fighting humanoid mobs:

    MA, Enforcer, Meta
Defense check is Evade Close Combat

Soldier, Agent, Crat, NT, Engineer, Advent, Fixer, Doctor
    Defense check is Dodge Ranged

    Trader
    Defense check is Duck Explosion

Unless you PvP, you can afford to let your Duck skill fall behind.
Professions that 'tank' should always keep their evades high.

The use for evades (duck/dodge/evade) is as follows:

The mobs attack rating is checked against your defense rating in their specific attack type.

The higher your defense, the less likely you will get hit and/or crit.

These checks run independant of Armor Class.

Just never forget that to dodge support beams, you need duck, not Evade ClscC.

Raise all your evades because you need them all. Unless, of course, you're a nanomage. Nanomages don't need evades or HP because they don't tank.

correction: professions that are likely to get aggro (even the ones that don't want it) should keep evades up. Oh, to heck with it. EVERYONE should have evades. NO doc can keep someone that's getting nothing but crits alive.

I like tanking with my Doc.

People call me stupid. I say its easier to heal myself than people in the team who neglect evades/HP.

Raise all 3 evades. If you absolutely must let one fall behind, it can be duck, but watch out for Trader mobs.

If you're curious about the defense skill checked for your opponent when you hit them with your weapon, shift-click on your weapon and scroll down to where it lists the Defense Skill. It should say something like Evade-clsc if its a melee weapon, Dodge-range if its a ranged weapon, or Duck-exp for shotguns/beams and a few others.

    Arrow quack...er, duck

It might be just be me, but I swear one of the enf-type mobs can use a weapon that also checks duck. (and yes I know none of them have beams but mobs do what they want)

I think it was vet bullies that chain critted me all the time and didn't stop until I finally maxed duck towards the end of title4. (hand't touched it at all being pure pvm early on) Before that I would calm the few trader mobs and let someone else in the team have the aggro...and I figured the bullies were just uber or something.

Anyways it was occasionally painful to ignore duck but I really loosened up my char build early on from being so damn tight on IP along with ignoring tradeskills

Moved off-world and found real tradeskills...along with many other things

Professions most likely: Enforcers, Docs, MAs, NTs, Soldiers.

Profession that gets it 90% of the time: Agent (stupid AS...)

Why? Becouse of taunts attached to high level nukes and not damage.

Ps. This dosent applay to NT's fighting High Level Mobs becouse of countless resists.
