The really great thing is, what's going to end up happening is that the only people owning towers two weeks from now will be uber guilds, and twink guilds. The middle-level areas will be abandoned, not because nobody wants them, but because they won't be worth defending.
The rest of us are starting to remember that we used to do things like have fun and advance our characters before the exploit-lag-and-nerf wars started. What good is a side exp bonus when you never gain any exp?

Iron Law of Exploits: If it can be exploited, it will be exploited. However a rule is exploitable, the exploits become the rule.
The points for and against have been taken into account, and we decided to go ahead with this change. It also appears the issue got pushed, and given higher priority, so it got ready faster.
It's in the patch today, and I'll close this thread now. Feel free to start a new one with feedback from how it works in a live environment.
