Why don't melee weapons have good modifiers?

There's a ton of guns out there, adding points to abilities and skills. I saw one in shopping channel that added 30 to AGI. That's pretty massive...

I know of very little melee weapons adding anything. Am I missing something here, or are melee weapons not suitable for buffing purposes?

    Master G-Staff adds 60 agility..
Edge of Tarasque adds +300 hps
    Bodum-Large Club adds ~10 ncu I think.
    Concrete Cushions add +8 str/sta
    Tear-soaked Pillows add 15 BM/MM/MC

a few off the top of my head

Most buff guns are purely that, buff guns.
I challenge you to find me a commonly used weapon that also has significant mods.

The term "buff gun" exists for a reason. All the best ones are low-level or totally useless. The Galahad line, Pepper Pistols, Druids, Quartzs, O.E.T. Co. line, MTI SW500 Geyser, etc.

Very, very few actual guns have decent, working mods on them.

Also, nowadays, I don't think I wold consider the Krutt a very good weapon.

    G-Staff and Kiddy raise Agility.
Cusions and the new Black Staff raise Stamina.
Cushion and Black Staff also raise Strength.
Immortal Katana, Compressed Blade, and Black Staff raises Sense.
Chesterfield Dining Chair, Brainchopper, and Mantis Predator Blade raise Psychic.
Brainchopper, Breathing Space, and Black Staff raises Int.

It's also important to realize that just because there are a lot of buff "guns", doesn't mean that they are available to all ranged users. Some require Full Auto, some require Pistol, some require AR, some require SMG, some require Ranged Energy, some require Rifle, etc...

    Arrow

Uh yeah Krutt WQS went from "actual battle-worthy shotgun" to "nice buffing gun that hits leets hard" when UVC became self-only.

Though I would agree that its probably the second best available buffing tool there is. (+24 stam/int and +20 CL is nice) First place is the +10 treatment rifle of course, with a freebie +8 stam

I would have to say that this is an typicall example of how an flame should not look like. You need to think things through and calm down before you try to write an flame... Im sorry but I would rate this flame with an 1. Aggression is to high, grammar and cursing isnt to well planned... Maybe he has an point somewhere in there but I dont even want to find it. - Centurion3
