    nice map additions, although the water in there looks a little familiar somehow...

    if you want a newer version of that map with the water-fade without the pixelation, lt me know.

    what happened to the original site located at http://travel.to/rubi-ka and the full-blown 3500x4500 pixel map?

    Greetings.

    I'm not quite understanding your comments, sorry. The maps on my website have been there since June of this year, when the website was launched.

    The map I used for the in-game maps and overlay maps was from the original AO map which was released with... 14.2 (or was it 14.4).

    The updated in-game map is ready to go, but I'm updating my other maps on the website, to reflect those changes, first.

    Here's a teaser of my latest updated in-game map, with enhancements from Dovve's map.

    I've never had a large map of Rubi-Ka on my website, only large playfield maps. You must be thinking of the http://mmorpgtraveller.tripod.com/ website which has a HUGE map.

    my bad, yeah i was thinking about htat other site... but then your http://travel.to/rubi-ka used to direct to that site...

    anyways, my map is based off the one at the mmorpgtraveller and has an accurate water-template that dovve's didnt quite cover completely.

    also be careful when you use dovve's map to copy, she had some kinda wierd black-boarder effect goin on that skewed the in-game player-location crosshairs up.

    if you havent figured that part out (took me a few tries) the map needs to be pixually confined to the edges of the playfield.

    if not, then the locator wont find the right player-position, and in teh dovve 5.5 map it shos the x-hair off the map entirely when they go to BS or east of Tir.

    also i use 2 maps, my personal is exactly as large as the one on mmorpgtraveller.

    Maps can be pretty much any size i guess cause a 20meg map works just as well as a 1 meg map

    Hi Nep Nice map, only complaint would be that glow effect round some of the words... on the red it isn't very easy to read, its ok on the blue by and large though...

    [Social] Means: I don't think we removed any bosses because of bad pathing...there wouldnt be any left if we did :P

    Darkbane, thank you for your feedback on that. The red's been bugging me too... I'll fix it.

    Blackwing, I'll be updating Dovve's map to reflect the latest Grid Access Terminal changes, and have it available on my website for download, so you can still use that map, if a full color map is not the easiest for you to read.

    I will make my map for my personal use only since i have fished for feedback in 3 different threads and noone gives a ****.

    I havent even gotten a "your map sucks, eat **** and die" response.


    so, like i said, **** it.

    I guess i just like to have more detail than others.

    Interesting ... I have yet to see a map where the Ferry routes are plotted in.

    Could be nothing more than a stipled line for all that matters, but I think they are often forgotten.


    Btw - In the Rubi-Ka storyline, it is said that some high level Metaphycisists and Nano Technicians found a new (neutral) city ... a floating wonder of some sort ... and they named it Jobe.

    But where is it ?

    If you check out the 'Shuttle map of RUBI-KA' which is in the new Arrival Hall area (and it's a HUGE map), you'll notice a new addition to the playfields. Down between Broken Shores and Rome/Galway Shire, is a map which appears to be the The Reck/Bay of Rome/Sea of Jobe area. Also, looking at an old AO map, it looks like Jobe itself would be south of the 'The Reck' area...possibly somewhere below Broken Shores and The Reck. I've been chomping at the bit to see the new area and map. I can't wait for Shadowlands to come out!
