What the heck is this?

K so I'm playing around with my clan enforcer and I run across this strange item in a level 30 mission:

Highly Plastic Mother-Circuit Array

it's no drop but I have no idea what it is or what it's for.

I'm playing like an hour later and I kill this buzzsaw at the Junkyard in Athens Shire and he drops a:

Scrap of Notum - also a no drop.

Anyone know what these are or what they are for?

I'm pretty sure they're for a mission involving 'killing robots'. In other wor(l)ds a 'quest'.

I just read WGMelchior's post on the dodga mission...sigh

FYI I got that highly plastic mother-circuit array from a mission in west athens -- I was level 28 or so at the time.
