melee init and hammer : how it works plz

yes the weapon have a speed to attack and charge.
ppl said that melee init increase the speed to hit.

So what s right ? What s happen? how does it work ?

I put 300 in melee init and i use a hammer ql 140 for example.
Do i really hit faster than if i had 1 in melee init ?

if yes so speed on a weapon can be increase ??

    thx for serious reply.

Yup, melee init makes you hit faster

600 melee init, takes 1 sec off your attack speed and 2 secs off your recharge. Thats the general "formula" I think, dont know if it has been confirmed. And you can never hit faster than 1s/1s.

As a hammer user (enf I assume) you should max melee init every lvl.

As an enf, you should max melee init nomatterwhat, IMHO.

    -edit-
earlier discussion about inits on the ENF-board
oh, btw.... init is alpha and omega. Keep your main offensive abiliti-init up, be it ranged, melee, nano, physical.

btw, aggression bar also affects weapon speed. More agressive=faster. You also hit harder (slightly more damage, and bigger chance of scoring a critical hit)
more defensive=slower. You also have less chance of hitting critical hits.
