    14.7.1 : Profession changes

    Adventurer
    • Because of PvP abuse, the execution time on the "other" version (e.g. "Sparrow Flight (Other)") of the reet morphing nano programs has been increased a lot.

    Bureaucrat
    • Speeches will now give the first pulse on execution instead of waiting 20 seconds.
    • Charmed mobs now feel an intense hatred towards their former master, and are very likely to attack as soon as they are released.

    Engineer
    • Auras will now give the first pulse on execution instead of waiting 20 seconds.
    • Enemies blinded with a blind aura will now have a black cloud effect around their head, allowing you to see who's affected.

    Martial Artist
    • Added a new Martial Arts special attack, called "Upon a Wave of Summer", existing at QL50-300. It uses riposte as main skill. It clears all Same QL snares and roots, and has a chance to stun the opponent. You will get a Run Speed and Nano Resist boost for ten seconds to either close with the opponent, or run away. It also snares the opponent up to 20 meters away.

    Nano Technicians
    • Added new PvP direct damage nano programs that are designed specifically to take out Fixers in Grid Armour.

Also read the full preliminary patch notes, as they contain other changes and additions that affect one or more professions.

    First One?

That new MA attack better work well or we MA's are worse off than before in PVP. The fact that riposte as the main skill for the new attack is such a passive aggressive response to all of the MA's who have been complaining!

I can just see them in a meeting "Damn those people that play MA's will not stop complaining about 14.6, we gotta do something.....Let's give em a special attack that will break roots....but get this we will make its main stat riposte! That will show them."

Glad I have some IP reset points left

I'm gonna go get me a booster and see what kind of mess this 14.7 patch will be.

Actually, I think it will be fun even if there are problems. I consider it like buying a lottery ticket. $19.95 and a dream.

    Nano Technicians

Added new PvP direct damage nano programs that are designed specifically to take out Fixers in Grid Armour.
I play an NT, so "w00t", and I know this is in line with the rock-paper.... idea of pvp, but couldn't this have waited until the rest of te changes are put in. It seems pretty harsh on he fixers...

    Martial Artist

Added a new Martial Arts special attack, called "Upon a Wave of Summer", existing at QL50-300. It uses riposte as main skill. It clears all Same QL snares and roots, and has a chance to stun the opponent. You will get a Run Speed and Nano Resist boost for ten seconds to either close with the opponent, or run away. It also snares the opponent up to 20 meters away.
I read that the reposte skill was going to be made useful - is this in, or are we going to have to wait and up eposte for this attack, while still having no use for the skill itself?

    Question

    Adventurer

Because of PvP abuse, the execution time on the "other" version (e.g. "Sparrow Flight (Other)") of the reet morphing nano programs has been increased a lot.

And how much is a lot?

I've never PvP'd and now I and other Advents get punished for the actions of the few.

i'm taking bets on how unatainable the riposte skill req for this nano will be.

my bet is that you need 786 riposte for the ql 50 nano (i have 785)

also bets will be taken on how long it will be before anyone can find it. (my bet is that the ww katana and howling bow will be found first)

on a more serious note though, cz, can you please tell someone that getting close to the attacker won't do squat for us if we can't even outdamage their dmg shields ?

doctor's stacked dots outdamage me too. that's just not right. got to character creation hall and read description for ma's then get one around lvl 180 and pvp. it's not even close to the truth.

    Some updates from Belith:

    Adventurer
    • The adventurers have received a new root/snare resist line.

    Doctor
    • Doctors have received a new deprive/ransack resist nanoline.

    Engineer
    • Added a new nanoline that you can cast on your pet. The nano will send out a pulse and will snare opponents close to the engineer. {Update: Close to the bot, of course. }
    • Added a new snare/root resist line that you can cast on you pet.
    • Added a new defensive nano line. The engineer will be able to case a nano that will protect him from a number of special attacks.

    Soldier
    • Added two new hostile nanos. As long as the target has one of these nanos running it cant be healed by "Complete Healing" or "Invocation of the Phoenix".

Interesting .. .Doctors getting more like Fixers / Traders .... a nice turn of events without making them a Damage class.

    I fully support that.

Excellent stuff. One question about the wording though, will this nano snare opponents close to the bot or to the engineer himself?

    Cheers,

HEY - why can't NT's get this - we need it to survive in pvp. Ok - docs get healing shut down, but pure nuke NT's (FCs preferred setup) get themselves totally gimped by deprive/ransack...

Is this because traders are supposed to **** NT's likke we're supposed to **** fixers? As a personal preference, I say let traders beat someone else!!

Edit: OMG I didnt think **** would get starredd....

So where does this leave us melee adventurers Cz? Have that even been given a tought??? What I see now is a lot of those I know use melee starting to get frustrated.

Oh... a flat 15% chance of resisting 1(one) root might seem good, but what about resisting two roots in a row??? Thats 2% chance... Or 3? How long would a rooter use to chain 3 roots at a target??? Now the chance is below 0%. Or 3 AoE rooters chaining 3 AoE roots (that takes less then 10 seconds right)? In a charge with 1000 melee adventurers there is a 0.0035% chance the ONE adventurer will get in range...

Was I really that Uber as a melee user that it verified a *nerf* like that?

Well, NTs are supposed to be getting an MC debuff resist thingy, but it rather looks like it won't be this patch...

Calm down Snublefoot ... you get items with nano formulas in them to break roots / snares .. much like First Aid Kits have small healing nano's in them.

It's in the "World Changes" thread.

Cado: So why did MA's and Enforcers need aditional root breakers?

The new stuff that can be used in fights is *stims* complete with the *easy access* to 125 ones. Its not breakers they are shortening the time.

*Edit* And even if they break the root, just what is the chance of staying mobile for 5 of the 35 minutes it takes for the stim to recycle?

Its a big time melee adventurer Nerf!

    Snublefot :

Probably because they are specialist classes ... Adventurers are more hybrid like.

You'd have to ask FunCom about the differences there.
Bottom line is : You will be able to get free with items as well.

I don't know if I should laught or cry...

    1) Riposte is a totally useless skill and you want to force us to raise it too now?

    2) Who snare/root you most?
Fixers...what does fixers use..GA, Our MA attacks don't work against GA we only get "Target resisted" all the time.

So we will still get rooted and snared because it's useless!

    3) We still don't do any damage after the crit nerf, this only change so we get close enought so we atleast see that we hit them.

Cado: Then I would suggest Cz get his *where the sun don't shine* over to the adventurer forum and post details about what items we get to even get close enough to fight.

You get items that break roots is not details. Thats could be Uber boss drop, not in game or the new nice treatment kits that cleans up debuffs (and can't be used when in fight and with a nice slow recharge).

I just have to repeat my feelings from the 14.6 patch. My toon was really really good for the few months between 14.2 and 14.6. I guess I'll just have to treasure that time and move on

Morph execution time longer ? Have you considered making our morphs buffs instead of debuffs too ?

.. And the NCU we need for those new nanolines, have you considered that also ?
