Since 14.7 hits this week, can we get patch notes?

Well, if 14.7 really is the Notum Wars patch then patch notes doesn't really matter anyway. Because since lot's of people have been beta testing it for several weeks, I don't think they will change it now. And if You think about it, most people here only want the patchnotes, so they can whine/*****/flame about the things they don't like.

When it goes live, You can all sit and read the patch notes while Your pc is downloading the patch anyway. What better way to spend that time?

Now give us those patch notes so we can whine about them!

Even if 14.7 is all back end stuff (do remember to put in the init fix) it's still great for AO. Lot's of people get all hyped up when it's patchtime. And even if the patch does nothing for their toon's they still rush into the game and play like madmen. So in some weird sence, even an empty patch keeps the game alive hehe.

And while You are at it... Please give my XXX-Plumbo some love, and nerf all those coffe-drinkers hehe

What does he have to go around and collect information from each individual....?

The game producer does not mantain a master?

Somone please help me understand what it means to be "working" on patch notes?

Isn't it just a matter of copying the tasks each programer was assigned and typing in a form that explains the outcome in the producers eyes?

Patch notes can be tricky because for one, most poeple take what they hear a funcom employee say as fact, and get totally pissed off it even ONE of the things he says is not entirely true, or was misunderstood. Also, a lot of times there might be items that are on Testlive or are being tested that just aren't finished so they don't make it to Live. For example, Throwing knives from 14.6, they were buggy.. to buggy, so they didn't make it to live.

Hopefully we'll see some patch notes today or tomorrow, I know 14.7 is sposed to hit this week, someone said tomorrow, we'll find out soon enough

I´ve just read a post in the german forum of RK3 in which the mod says there will be no patch tomorrow (20.11.2002).
So there propably won´t be a patch tomorrow or the communication between Funcom and the german reseller gamigo is even worse than I thought... on the other hand, maybe funcom doesn´t know yet?

I found this in my e-mail today:

"Changes in Patch 14.7:

All characters with names starting with the letter X, D, S, K, C or G have been renamed to "Chauncey" followed by a 3 digit number.
Unfortunatly there were more characters with names starting with X, D, S, K, C or G than we expected, so some of them had to be renamed to "Evilcustomer".
Hell, who am I kidding, we renamed all of you to "Evilcustomer" because that makes handling petitions so much easier.

On popular demand we've also nerfed the crap outta the engies."
