If your multi-melee skill is high enough to duel-wield paper hammers, i would stick with melee.
However if ya can't do that i would switch to pistols and pretend you are a rootin' tootin' cowgirl
dualvield hammers. That IS the best sollution. Really.

Swords are much more damaging in PvM and give you more specials to unload on people in PvP. Except if you're rooted. Then you are toast.
Pistols don't have many specials, but aren't so archaic looking and will let you effectively fight root-using professions in PvP.
Dual pistols, a tank-top, and shorts will let you pretend you're Lara Croft.
